Esthetia Gwanggyo 1st Branch is a skin and body care esthetic clinic located at 43 Docheong-ro 89beon-gil, Yeongtong-gu, Suwon-si, Room 306 of Edu Plaza, and what I got was the Head and Neck Relax. There was a treatment I'd really been wanting lately. Since having my baby and taking care of her, my shoulders basically turned into rocks, haha.

Especially since I spend so much time holding the baby, my shoulders and neck are constantly stiff, and once they tense up they just don't loosen... so this time I went to Esthetia Gwanggyo 1st Branch for the Head and Neck Relax treatment.

They're apparently famous for contouring care, because there were a lot of before-and-after plaster busts on display, haha. I got that treatment too when I was prepping for my wedding... ancient history.

The moment you walk into Esthetia Gwanggyo 1st Branch, everything feels clean overall, and the treatment space had a calm atmosphere too. I liked that they carefully checked my skin condition and concerns first and gave me a proper consultation.

That day I had a breakout under my chin, probably from being right before my period. I mentioned it, and they gave my face an ampoule treatment on top of everything else. I liked that they adjust the care to your skin condition that day like that.

After the consultation, they showed me to the treatment room.

What the 1:1 private room and lockers at Esthetia are like

There's a sink to wash your hands and everyone gets their own locker for their clothes, haha.

How painful is the trapezius treatment after months of carrying a baby?

My trapezius muscles are hiked up sky-high from parenting, ugh. Since having the baby I haven't even had time for a massage... sigh.

The Head and Neck Relax I got — they even had a promotional price for it?! Pretty tempting, haha. I honestly went in thinking, my shoulders are so tense this is going to feel great~ but... it was more painful than I expected.

They use this machine that runs some kind of electric current through it. It focuses intensively on the tight spots, and when it hits the spots that are really stiff, it genuinely hurts. But it definitely felt different from just a gentle massage.

"Oh wow, this spot really is super tense..." — that kind of feeling, haha

I use my left shoulder a lot, and the therapist could immediately tell. She said my left side was way more tense, ugh.

How did the shoulder line look the next day?

The day after getting the Head and Neck Relax at Esthetia Gwanggyo 1st Branch, my shoulders surprisingly felt a bit lighter! Looking at photos, my shoulder line had clearly loosened up too. My shoulders had been constantly tense from parenting, and I hadn't gotten proper care in a while, so this kind of treatment felt like exactly what I needed.

I'd recommend this to parenting moms with serious shoulder tension. Parking was available so it was convenient, and the staff were kind so I felt comfortable the whole time. Next time my shoulders turn to rock, I'll probably go back for another treatment :)
