Egg tart takeout at Dalgeuraem, a bakery café by Gyesan Station
In short
Dalgeuraem is a bakery café on the ground floor of a residential building in Gyesan-dong, Gyeyang-gu, Incheon, a short walk from Exit 3 of Gyesan Station on Incheon Subway Line 1. Arriving at 2pm on a weekday, the salt bread was already sold out, so the takeout bag went home with pistachio fig cake, egg tarts and financiers instead. Warmed up, the Dalgeuraem egg tart had crisp pastry and a rich egg flavour — worth an earlier trip next time for the salt bread.

I was in Incheon and heard there was a new café in Gyesan-dong, so I got curious and went to check it out. Turns out it's not just a coffee place — it's a Gyesan-dong bakery café. I'd heard it was THE salt bread spot in Gyesan-dong, so I went to grab some bread too.
Where is Dalgeuraem, and what are its hours?
The Gyesan-dong bakery café 'Dalgeuraem' is a short walk from Exit 3 of Gyesan Station on Incheon Subway Line 1 if you're taking public transit. It's really close to the station, which was convenient.

Dalgeuraem's exterior and the Eiffel Tower photo spot
Dalgeuraem sits on the ground floor of a quiet residential building. The floor-to-ceiling windows mean you can see inside from the street.

Walking through the entrance, there's a little yard-like space. There's an Eiffel Tower sculpture there too, which looked like a great photo zone. My photos came out really pretty. I bet it's even prettier in the evening. The entrance door is cute too.
Inside Dalgeuraem: is it good for kids?
Dalgeuraem's interior is on the cozy side, with wood tables and chairs that give a clean, tidy feel. The floor-to-ceiling windows let you see outside, which added a nice sense of openness without feeling cramped.
The chairs have backs too — passed haha. I can't sit on backless chairs for long, they're uncomfortable. There are also high chairs available, so it looked like a good place to bring kids.

Since it's a Gyesan-dong bakery café known for its salt bread, there was a lot of bread on display.

The little decor pieces were really pretty too — the roses looked like real flowers, wow.

Dalgeuraem has a restroom inside the store, which was very convenient. I go to the restroom often, haha, so I tend to avoid cafés or restaurants with outdoor-only restrooms.
Dalgeuraem drink menu and prices

The Gyesan-dong bakery café 'Dalgeuraem' drink menu

The americano was ₩4,000, which I liked — not expensive. The decaf upgrade fee was also a reasonable ₩500. Vanilla bean cream latte, peanut cream latte, and black sesame cream latte were the signature menu items! There were also various ades, fresh-pressed juices, and teas. I wanted to try the Valrhona chocolate latte too.
Gyesan Station's bakery café 'Dalgeuraem' was also running a Naver review event. Writing a Naver photo review gets you a coffee or latte, or a financier (flavor of choice). I've seen a lot of places running review events, but this is the first time I've seen one give away a latte, haha. Dalgeuraem's owner is the best.
There were also number candles and various cute candles.
What slice cakes does Dalgeuraem sell?

Dalgeuraem's refrigerated showcase had a lot of cakes too. I thought it was just a salt bread spot, but the cakes looked delicious too, so I bought some, haha.

Everything was sold by the slice only.
- Pistachio cherry cake
- Shine muscat yogurt cake
- Fig yogurt cake — figs are in season these days
- Peach yogurt cake
- Pistachio fig cake — I got this one
2pm on a weekday: Dalgeuraem's salt bread was already sold out
I visited Dalgeuraem at 2pm on a weekday, and some of the breads were already sold out, sniff. I guess I need to go earlier. Still, there was plenty of bread left to choose from.

The bread display area was pretty too, so I took some photos. Being the Gyesan-dong salt bread spot, there were really a lot of salt bread varieties.

- Dubai chocolate salt bread
- Nutella salt bread
- Milk vanilla cream salt bread
- Ang-butter (red bean and butter) salt bread
- Plain salt bread

- Garlic salt bread
- Bacon egg mayo salt bread
- Corn mayo Ppuring salt bread
- Pollack roe mayo salt bread
This is my first time seeing a corn mayo Ppuring salt bread. I bet it tastes like Ppuring seasoned chicken — how neat.

This one's the chili cheese salt bread, and it looks like it comes with a white sauce on the side. Not sure what the sauce is exactly, but I think you're meant to dip it.

Still trendy — chocolate baguette and chocolate ganache baguette.
The mugwort red bean crumble financier had mugwort red bean topping on top of the financier. There was also a plain financier — I grabbed the last one, haha. There was also egg tart, dirty pain au chocolat, and Lotus caramel cinnamon milk roll.

I packed up bread and cake to take home.
Tasting the pistachio fig cake, egg tart and financier at home

What I brought home from Dalgeuraem: one cake, one financier, and three egg tarts, haha.

Let's unbox the cake. This is the fig pistachio cake. It's piled high with figs, with figs layered throughout the cake.
I took a bite — the pistachio cream was nutty and not too sweet, which I liked. And since figs are in season, they were really sweet and paired well with the pistachio. The sponge was soft and delicious too!

Egg tart and financier. The egg tart was huge and had real heft to it. Side view of the egg tart.

The pastry was crisp with a really good buttery aroma. Warming it up slightly made it even better. The egg filling was generous, with a great eggy flavor that wasn't greasy or overly sweet.
This is the financier I got from the review event — I ate it with no expectations, but wow, it was so good! The outside was crisp, totally my style, and the inside was chewy. Strong butter and almond flavor!
It's the Gyesan-dong salt bread spot, but I couldn't get the salt bread, sniff. I'll have to go back for it next time. The cake was delicious and the shop was adorable — that was my review of the Gyesan-dong bakery café and salt bread spot, 'Dalgeuraem.'
