With the weather getting hotter lately, I’ve been feeling totally drained 🥵 While looking for a summer pick-me-up meal, freshwater eel immediately came to mind! So I visited the well-known Songrim Bok Jangeo Freshwater Eel All-You-Can-Eat Saesol Direct Branch in Saesol-dong 🐟🔥

What were the parking and dining room like?

Convenient Prime Tower Parking

I came by car and was able to visit comfortably without worrying about parking 🚗💨 Just enter through the Prime Tower Parking entrance in the same building,

There was plenty of parking space, so I parked with ease ✅ and headed to the restaurant.

A clean, spacious dining room

Maybe because it had not been open for long, the whole place was incredibly clean ✨🤍

The tables were fairly well spaced, so I could eat without feeling cramped 😊 There were lots of people there for company dinners that day, as well as quite a few group guests 🙌 It definitely felt like a popular place for work dinners, too.

We ordered the all-you-can-eat adult set 🙋♀️

They first brought out eel and chicken neck meat together, so we got to enjoy both 🍗🐟

What’s more, since the restaurant had only recently opened, they gave us a whole bottle of bokbunja (Korean black raspberry wine) as a complimentary service 🍇🎁

It went so well with the eel!! That thoughtful service made the meal even more satisfying 👍💕

Self-bar side dishes and takeout

The selection of side dishes was generous, too 🍽️✨

I could refill my plate at the self-bar, so I ate plenty without running short 👌 They also said takeout was available, so

I thought it would be nice to get takeout and enjoy it comfortably at home next time 🏠😋

Thick, hearty eel with ssam wraps

At last, we grilled the eel we had been waiting for 🔥🔥 Just seeing it turn golden and delicious made my mouth water.

🤤 Since it was all-you-can-eat, I expected the thickness and size might be a little disappointing, but I was surprised! It was as thick and generously sized as the eel at regular places that sell it by weight 😲👍

A filling meal with ssam wraps

The wrap vegetables were unlimited too, so I enjoyed plenty of them with the eel 🥬

Putting the eel into a ssam (Korean lettuce wrap) with ginger really brought the flavor to life—it was so good 😋💕 I was absolutely stuffed that day 🙊 but we even added spicy ramen at the end 🍜🔥

The noodles were nicely chewy and the broth had a spicy kick, making it the perfect finish alongside the eel 👏

Why I recommend it for family and group gatherings

Seeing how busy the restaurant was, it looked like quite a few people had come for work dinners that day too 👨👩👧👦

Above all, the owner was so kind that I could enjoy the whole meal in a great mood 😊🙏 The restaurant was also kept very clean, so I’d highly recommend it whether you are visiting for a family gathering or dinner, or simply stopping by for lunch ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
