Ansan café for fruit-filled drinks and bakery bread: Degree Gojan

In short

Degree Gojan Branch is a bakery café in Ansan, Gyeonggi, serving fruit drinks and freshly baked bread. Even late at night, the calm space was busy, and the fruit-packed drinks and nutty bread were wonderful. Verdict: I want to return when more kinds of bread are available.

A busy Ansan café in Gojan, even late at night

My first review in a while is of Degree Gojan Branch (디그리 고잔점) in Ansan! I visited fairly late, but I was surprised by how busy it was inside.

Even from outside, you could feel the owner’s sense of style. The interior also looked calm and perfect for chatting, so it was a café that often caught my eye.

There really were so many people inside! I guess everyone came with a feeling similar to mine, right? Haha.

The interior had lots of face-to-face seating arrangements that were great for sitting down and having a conversation.

The bakery items left late at night

One of Degree’s biggest strengths is its bakery! I’ve even bought a sandwich at Degree to eat before getting my makeup done for a wedding photo shoot. I visited late today, so there was hardly any bread left. That really made me think, wow, Degree’s bread must be popular~

On one side, there were a few sandwiches and baguettes left, along with items like baguette cookies. I held back because I’d just been to a great grilled-bone restaurant, but if I’d only wanted a light bite, I think I would have had a sandwich. Just look at themㅠㅠ🤍

Remaining sandwiches and baguette items

There were also sliced-bread sandwiches set out on one side. They looked really generously filled, and the bread looked delicious too~~

They also sold cold brew concentrate and several cream jams in one corner~~

I had thought there were more choices than expected, but then I saw a whole list of breads that had sold out that day. I felt even more disappointed about the ones I couldn’t try, but it also made me want to come back next time!

An open baking space inside the café

Another big strength of Degree is that they bake right inside the café! And the fact that they do it in an open space like this, while keeping the interior so clean, was so impressive and made me trust them even more!!

Degree also has prepaid cards and a receipt-review event, so it might be worth taking a look~

Just as I was about to order, I saw someone packing up a huge amount of bread to take away, and that made me realize how well known the bread here must be!

Drinks that tasted like pure fruit, plus nutty bread

There were all kinds of drinks, including ones that used seasonal fruit~

You could especially tell that they put a lot of thought into their coffee beans, which made me look forward to the coffee even more~

I think I liked Degree even more because you could tell they had put care into every little decorative detail like this~

Café space after the crowd has thinned out

Once the crowd had thinned out a little and I took some photos, I kept thinking how pretty this space itself was.

Then the drinks we had chosen after much deliberation arrived! The drinks here were seriously like fruit itself..❤️ Is it okay to give us this much fresh fruit? 🥹 My friend and I went around in an endless loop of amazement..!

And the bread we had carefully chosen came out too. They cut it up for us, which made it so easy to eat! Honestly, when I first saw it, I thought it would taste ordinary, but perhaps because they use such good flour and butter, this rich, nutty flavor just kept coming through. It was so deliciousㅠㅠ

My friend and I were amazed all over again, and said that next time we should come back when there are more varieties to try~
