Hellooo~~~ ☕️🤎🥐 Hope you're having a good Chuseok holiday! Today I want to tell you about a café I often go to whenever I have business near Bureaksan mountain or happen to be in the area with nowhere obvious to go. It's called Cafe Pomun 🫶🏻
Where Cafe Pomun is, opening hours and parking
Cafe Pomun is a café at 58-26 Chudam-ro, Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do, in Icheung-dong near Bureaksan mountain. There's spacious parking available, and hours are Mon–Wed 09:00–22:00, Thu–Sat 11:00–21:00 (during the Chuseok holiday), and Sun 12:00–19:00.
Apparently this place has already been open for 10 years. Wait... so we've been aging together this whole time?? 😂😂 There's definitely a reason a place sticks around that long, right?! ✨
To me, Cafe Pomun really deserves the title of the boss café around here 💖 Coffee — got it. Dessert — got it. Atmosphere — got it. Nothing's missing here...!
So it's the place that comes to mind whenever I'm looking for a good dessert café in Pyeongtaek, and also somewhere I stop by when I want a good meal plus coffee nearby 🤎 This time I visited after weekend lunch.
A weekend lunchtime visit: seats to spare thanks to the annex
Around weekend lunchtime, the main building of Cafe Pomun was really packed. But since there's now a separate annex right next door, seating turned out to be more available than expected.
Wow... there were seriously so many people hahaha 😳 I thought, "Did everyone in Songtan gather here...?" 😂 But thankfully, there's now a separate annex right next door!
Thanks to that, seating was more available than I expected 🙌🏻 The weather was so nice that day, the outdoor terrace seats were almost all full 🌿☀️
Inside the Cafe Pomun annex, shared with a furniture shop
The annex had a pretty great atmosphere too. Apparently the Cafe Pomun annex is currently partnered with the furniture shop DEUL, and the space is decorated with actual furniture pieces 🪑✨ So it feels quite different from a typical café seating area! There was even a bit of fun in browsing the furniture 👀
If there's no seat in the main building, I'd recommend heading to the annex 👍🏻 That said, since it's so busy on weekends, you should expect some waiting when you visit! Still, since the space is divided, you might get a seat more easily than you'd think 😊
Which Cafe Pomun financier should you order?
My favorite thing at Cafe Pomun is the financiers. This time I ordered the salted caramel financier for 3,500 won and the hazelnut chocolate financier for 3,900 won.
And if I had to pick my number one favorite thing at Cafe Pomun... it's the financiers!! 🤎🤎 The coffee here is great, but honestly the baked goods are good enough that you could call this place a baked-goods specialist — the financiers are that delicious.
If it's your first visit, whatever else you order, make sure to try the basic salted financier! 🙏🏻 This time we ordered the salted caramel financier for 3,500 won and the hazelnut chocolate financier for 3,900 won.
My partner, who came with me, said "ah~ I'm so full~~" hahaha and then took one bite and immediately went wide-eyed... 🤣 Wait, didn't you just say you were full... That's how good it was, apparently, haha.
So I feel confident recommending this to anyone looking for a good dessert café in Songtan 💗
Why the chestnut matcha chocolate cake is worth ordering too
But then again... they're good at cake too 👍🏻 The chestnut matcha chocolate cake we ordered, 8,500 won, was seriously delicious too 🤎 There are plenty of places that do great financiers, but a place that does cake this well on top of that is hard to find, right?
So I'd love for anyone looking for a good restaurant-café in Icheung-dong to give it a try at least once. It's not just a place to drink coffee — it feels like somewhere you can properly enjoy coffee, baked goods, and cake all together!

There's probably a reason why, even after so many years, people still keep coming, and both the coffee and desserts continue to be loved so consistently ☕️✨
Next time I'm in the area, I think I'll naturally end up back here again 😌 I'll recommend this to anyone looking to enjoy dessert cafés in Pyeongtaek, or a good dessert café in Songtan 🤎
