It's Ttosarella~! I actually visited once before — the financier hotspot~! I went back to Cafe Pomun on the weekend~!

Cafe Pomun, a 10-year fixture in Icheung-dong: what the café feels like

Cafe Pomun is a mainstay café in Icheung-dong, Pyeongtaek, now in its 10th year. The interior is no joke, right? The staghorn fern, the coffee machine, even the tree outside... the owner's sense of style is something else!!!

The financiers were delicious, and the interior was so stylish that I told myself I had to come back again~! And that day was today~!

They also have coffee, signature coffee, drinks, and tea, so you don't have to just drink coffee — it seemed like a great spot for a second round of café-hopping~! Personally, when I meet my girlfriends we do café rounds two, three times over lol. Cafe Pomun in Icheung-dong is perfect for that too haha.

Free baked good for pregnant guests, free juice for ages 0–7

A notice that really shows the owner's philosophy~! I found this so impressive I took a photo — one free baked good for pregnant customers, and free kids' juice for children aged 0–7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Omg, the owner is amazing~! Thumbs up!!!!!!! + Since my teen at home is 16, I guess we're paying full price haha.

Okay, time to pick a financier~! I only recently found out my husband loves anbutter (sweet red bean butter), and they actually have an anbutter walnut financier here??? Grabbing that immediately!!

And my beloved fig, plus pistachio, chocolate, and so many other kinds of financiers were on offer~! I genuinely got lost in the fun of choosing, and I was already happy thinking about trying different ones next time~!

Why the lemon madeleine was sold out by 1pm on Saturday

And then, the problem child — the lemon madeleine......... I visited around 1pm on a Saturday, and it was already sold out............. I missed it last time too...... I asked the owner and apparently you can pre-order it? I'll visit again, and if it's sold out once more, I'll go ahead and pre-order~!!

And this second floor is so pretty~!! There are windows everywhere, and the sense of the season coming through them is so lovely T_T Last time I visited it was raining, but a sunny day is gorgeous too~!

Pomun coffee 6,000 won and strawberry latte 5,800 won

So what drinks did we order? Ttosarella got Pomun coffee for ₩6,000, and Mr. Lee got the strawberry latte for ₩5,800. Pomun coffee is described as nutty almond milk with crispy cream coffee — it's their signature, so how could I pass it up haha.

Ugh, but it was so good... The cup was small so I wondered if that was really it??? but it was plenty milky and totally satisfying~!!

Four financiers and drinks for a slow weekend afternoon

Behold — pistachio, yellow cheese, anbutter walnut, and chocolate financiers. Lined up with our drinks, this drowsy weekend afternoon got even more drowsy?!!! It was truly heaven.

Mr. Lee must have liked it too, because he offered up a cross-section shot of the food, which he never does haha + He's finally learning the meaning of restraint hahaha.

The café space is so pretty, and with all the windows the natural light was gorgeous, so I really wanted to take photos~! + Behold his now-rusty photography skills, JPG.

They also have sets available for purchase like this~! Great as a gift for someone you're grateful to, or when visiting a friend's house~! Since they open at 9am, there's plenty of time to pick some up before heading out~!

The new annex at Cafe Pomun means no more seat hunting

The second-floor seats are always packed, so I was nervous every time I went~! But guess what, they opened an annex too? Right next to the café, with this pretty wooden door as the entrance!! Naturally I got curious and went to check it out~!

Ta-da~! The space is spacious and decorated in the same feel as the main building, which I loved~ It's also a furniture collaboration space, so purchase inquiries are possible~! I personally love furniture with this vibe, so I pretended not to notice hahaha.

With both the main building and the annex now, I no longer have to worry about there being no seats~! And happily, they still have the same variety of delicious financiers as before~! If you're looking for a café with great baked goods in Icheung-dong, or a pretty date spot with a lovely space, I recommend Cafe Pomun~!
