Seoul Korean BBQ near Bangi Station with bibim makguksu: Dangsan Odol

Today I'm sharing a review of a Korean BBQ meal I had in Bangi-dong. This time I visited Dangsan Odol Bangi Branch.

It's a good spot to know about if you're looking for a Korean BBQ restaurant near Bangi Station or Olympic Park. What I liked most was how easy it was to visit by car.

Parking at Dangsan Odol Bangi Branch: a free private lot

Dangsan Odol Bangi Branch has a spacious private parking lot right in front of the restaurant, so I could walk in without any parking worries. Parking is free, which is definitely a convenient point for anyone visiting by car.

We'd made a reservation ahead of time, and when we walked in, our reserved table was already neatly set up.

Inside Dangsan Odol Bangi Branch: atmosphere and the group room

Dangsan Odol Bangi Branch itself was pretty large and had a clean, tidy overall vibe.

Further inside there are spacious seats, along with a large group reservation area set apart, so it looked good for dining with several people. It also seemed convenient for family dinners or gatherings with a bigger headcount.

What we ordered at Dangsan Odol and what it cost

We sat down at our reserved table and started eating right away. Here's what we ordered that day.

• Lamb ribs 200g ₩25,000
• Kkodeulsal 180g ₩19,000
• Clam miso soup ₩6,000
• Bibim makguksu ₩10,000

Lamb ribs 200g, 25,000 won: honestly a little dry

We started with the lamb ribs first. This was actually my first time trying lamb ribs, and personally I found them a bit drier than I expected.

Overall the texture wasn't tender — the meat closer to the bone actually tasted better. Maybe I just had too high expectations since it was my first time trying this dish. Personally, if I come back, I think I'd choose a different menu item rather than order the lamb ribs again.

Kkodeulsal 180g, 19,000 won: an easy crowd-pleaser

Next up was kkodeulsal! True to its name, the chewy texture made it fun to eat.

It had a nice bite and the meat itself was solidly tasty, so it was easy to keep eating. It gave off the vibe of a meat dish that's hard to dislike, pretty universally likable.

Ureong doenjang jjigae, 6,000 won with rice included

While we were eating the meat, the clam miso soup we'd also ordered arrived. It's ₩6,000 and comes with a bowl of rice included, which made it nice to eat alongside the meat. It wasn't a particularly striking flavor, more of a reliably decent miso soup — a solid, comforting taste! Rather than just eating meat nonstop, having rice and miso soup alongside it made for a satisfying meal.

The winner of the meal: bibim makguksu, 10,000 won

And the dish that surprised me the most that day was the bibim makguksu. It's ₩10,000 and came in a big bowl with a generous portion, so it looked like plenty. It was a great dish to eat alongside the meat, tangy with well-balanced seasoning, and personally I enjoyed it a lot. A bite of meat with the makguksu together made a nice combo. The portion was generous too, so it seemed like a good one to order and share among a group.

Free coffee machine to finish the meal

After we finished eating, we could also use the coffee machine set up in the restaurant. Being able to wrap up with a simple coffee after the BBQ was another nice touch. With ample parking available too, this is a decent place to consider for a group meetup or gathering.
