Haeundae ocean-view Chinese restaurant, cream shrimp for two: Bueokgan

Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch is an ocean-view Chinese restaurant on the second floor of the Suybeon Choego Pork Gukbap building in Marine City, Haeundae. We came here for our first meal of our Busan trip and had seafood nurungji soup (scorched rice soup) and cream shrimp!

Hi haha, my boyfriend and I went on a Busan trip haha. Busan trips are all about the food, right haha, so many delicious options it's hard to choose?? We picked these two places after a lot of careful thought, so you can trust us and eat well! First stop — right after arriving, we headed straight to Haeundae!

Where is Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch? Hours and parking

The address is 51 Marine City 3-ro, Haeundae-gu, Busan, 2nd floor of Suybeon Choego Pork Gukbap. Hours are 11:00-22:00, break time 15:30-17:00, last order at 15:00 and 20:30.

Just look for Suybeon Choego Gukbap! Walk a bit to the left after exiting the parking lot and you'll find the entrance. Take the elevator up to the 2nd floor!

The Marine City window seats with Dongbaekseom Island in view

The view was seriously 🫶🏻 amazing! The Haeundae ocean view was so pretty! You can even see Dongbaekseom Island right in front — such a beautiful spot!! There are private rooms too haha

Side dishes and the review-event fish-tank dumplings

The basic side dishes are so simple haha. And Bueokgan Chinese's review event is the fish-tank dumplings! They're delicious, make sure you try them haha

We ordered the seafood nurungji soup and cream shrimp haha. Both were seriously delicious! No regrets on our menu choice at all haha

Seafood nurungji soup: how the broth and scorched rice taste

Ta-da~~ this is the seafood nurungji soup! Hot broth loaded with seafood — it looked so appetizing the moment it hit the table!! Above all, the broth itself was really delicious. You could taste that distinct seafood richness, but it wasn't heavy at all, and my spoon just kept going back for more 👍🏻

With the nutty flavor and chewy texture of the scorched rice added in, it went really well with the broth ✔️ If you like hot, warming dishes, I'd definitely recommend the seafood nurungji soup ⭐️

There's plenty of seafood in it too, so it's filling enough as a single dish on its own, and if you're visiting with more people, I think it'd work well shared alongside other dishes! I'm already craving it again 😢

Cream shrimp at Bueokgan Chinese

Visuals: passed haha. Crispy fried shrimp paired with a soft, sweet, and nutty cream sauce — the texture of the shrimp and the sauce matched really well ❣️ Pairing the plump shrimp with something mild and warm like the seafood nurungji soup was great, since the two flavors were different enough to enjoy together!

I like food that's delicious without being too intense, where each dish still has its own character, and the two we ordered that day had really different charms, so I was very satisfied 💛

Is it enough food for two? Verdict on dinner with an ocean view

We had a beer alongside, and honestly it was a lot of food for two haha. It wasn't just that the food was delicious — being able to eat while looking out at the Haeundae sea was so nice haha. The Marine City area really has that beautiful mix of high-rises and ocean scenery~!

Eating good food while watching the Busan sea stretch out through the window made the meal feel more special than usual. This place would suit anyone visiting Busan who's looking for somewhere to eat in Haeundae, or anyone in Marine City looking for a restaurant with a nice atmosphere 💛

The seafood nurungji soup and cream shrimp were really delicious, and personally, I was satisfied enough that I'd want to try another dish or two if I come back 🤍 If you want good Chinese food in Busan while also enjoying an ocean view, Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch is worth remembering!
