New annex café in Gimhae: Shin-chan decor and cold brew at Yu Yu Yu

I'd been looking for a spacious, good-vibes café in Gimhae, so I finally went back to UUU Yu Yu Yu (유유유) after a while. It's long been known as one of Gimhae's big cafés, and I'd been curious about it — turns out it now has a newly operating annex alongside the original building, so it felt even bigger and more comfortable to use.

The part I liked most on this visit was definitely the annex! A huge floor-to-ceiling window brought in a full view of the greenery outside, so even sitting inside the café never felt closed-in or stuffy.

It was a great Gimhae café for spending some relaxed time over a cup of coffee.

Is parking easy at Yu Yu Yu in Gimhae?

Yu Yu Yu has a wide dedicated parking area right in front of the café. Parking is something I quietly care a lot about when picking a café, and here it was easy to visit by car.

Even as a large café, the parking space felt generous, so it would work well for a family visit or a group arriving together by car. If you're looking for a big café in Gimhae for a drive-and-visit trip, parking stress shouldn't be an issue here.

This time I settled into Yu Yu Yu's new annex. Being a new building, the whole space felt clean and fresh overall.

What caught my eye most in the annex was that big glass wall. Green scenery spread out beyond it, so just sitting there felt healing. Cafés in the middle of the city are nice too, but a space where you can drink coffee while looking out at nature has its own kind of charm. The seating was fairly spacious too, making it good for dates as well as family gatherings or visits with friends.

How big is the bakery selection at Yu Yu Yu?

Yu Yu Yu has a wide range of baked goods, not just drinks. From basics like salt bread and croissants to desserts and sandwiches, there was so much to choose from that I spent a good while deciding.

The area where the bread is displayed was also neatly arranged, so it was fun to browse piece by piece. There were cute props and character decorations scattered around too, which had me looking around the whole café, not just the bread.

Personally, what really caught my eye on this visit was the Crayon Shin-chan (짱구) decor.

There were cute Shin-chan characters and props all over, so even while picking out bread my eyes kept drifting toward them. These little touches seemed to make the whole café feel even cuter.

If you're looking for a cute spot for photos, I'd suggest slowly browsing the surroundings while picking out bread.

What we ordered at Yu Yu Yu

This time I picked out a few drinks and baked goods.

What I ordered was

— a bit of everything from coffee to ade, dessert, and a simple meal item.

Clean cold brew and tangy passion fruit ade

First, the cold brew, which was great for cooling off. I ordered it wanting a clean, straightforward coffee flavor, and it paired well with the bakery items.

I also wanted something refreshing, so I got the passion fruit ade — sweet and tangy, offering a completely different feel from the coffee. If you're visiting with a group, ordering one coffee and one ade to share would work nicely.

Kaya butter croissant and Earl Grey tigré

For dessert I picked the Earl Grey tigré. The subtle, fragrant Earl Grey aroma made it a good match with coffee.

I got to enjoy both the tigré's distinctive texture and its moist feel, which gave it a different kind of appeal from regular baked goods.

If you're an Earl Grey fan, this is worth trying at least once. I also picked out the kaya butter croissant from the bakery case. The crispy croissant paired with kaya and butter was sweet yet savory.

Ham omelet sandwich at Yu Yu Yu

And to have a light meal too, I ordered the ham omelet sandwich! When just bread or dessert feels like too little, ordering a sandwich alongside makes it feel like a simple brunch.

With coffee, dessert, and sandwiches all on the menu, this place also seemed like a good option to visit in the morning or for brunch.

Why the annex's floor-to-ceiling window view wins

What satisfied me most on this visit was, again, the glass-wall view in Yu Yu Yu's annex. With the green scenery filling the big window, my whole field of view felt wide open.

Sitting with drinks and bread on the table, looking out the window, I almost felt like I was on a trip somewhere. On a nice day, sitting by the window and taking your time would be really lovely. And photos would come out pretty too, with the natural scenery in the frame.

A Gimhae café that works for family and group gatherings

Yu Yu Yu's space itself is on the larger side, so it seemed well suited to visiting with a bigger group. Being able to use both the original building and the new annex together is also a plus, since it means seating can be used more flexibly.

For gatherings with family or friends, space and parking both matter, and since you can have both comfortably here, it seemed like a solid meeting spot.

There are also high chairs and it's pet-friendly, so it's worth keeping in mind for family visits too.

Looking for a spacious café in Gimhae?

Visiting UUU Yu Yu Yu this time, I felt it was more than just a place to drink coffee — it's a space with a number of different charms.

From the wide parking lot to the clean annex, the green glass-wall view, the wide range of bakery items, and the cute Shin-chan decor, there was something fun to look at wherever I turned.

I especially liked the natural scenery visible through the annex's glass wall, and with so many kinds of bread on offer, it was great to pick a few to enjoy alongside a drink.
