Seogwipo café with forest-view and ocean-view floors: Forest Jeongbang

One minute by car from Jeongbang Waterfall: Forest Jeongbang

It's the last day of my Jeju trip. After a great lunch in Seogwipo near where we were staying, we headed straight to Forest Jeongbang, a café by Jeongbang Waterfall! It's really only a one-minute drive away, so I think it's a great café to visit right after stopping by the waterfall.

Forest Jeongbang has a first floor and a second floor, and once we went up to the second floor, the ocean view was amazing — the sea and islands visible beyond the palm trees and lush greenery. On top of that, it's dog-friendly, and the desserts turned out to be delicious too, so it was a café in Seogwipo, Jeju that I liked for many reasons.

There's a dedicated café parking lot right next to the building, so you can park freely.

First-floor forest view or second-floor ocean view: where to sit?

1st floor (forest view) While waiting for our order, we walked around wondering where to sit. We went to the first floor first, and each seat had different chair and table styles, unique and nice. The view was a forest view with lots of trees.

2nd floor ocean view Honestly, before going up I thought all ocean-view cafés would be similar, but once I got to the second floor and looked out the window, the view was better than expected. The floor-to-ceiling windows gave a refreshing view of the sea, and you could even see an island far in the distance.

There was also an outdoor terrace seating area, but the day we went was around 3pm and the sunlight was really strong. So we reluctantly gave up on the terrace and sat in the cool indoor area~ If I go back on a cooler day, I'd like to try sitting on the terrace and drinking coffee while looking at the sea.

Can you bring a dog to Forest Jeongbang?

Since it's a dog-friendly café, we also saw customers who came with their dogs, and I thought this would be a pretty useful place to know about if you're traveling around Jeju with a dog.

How do the Jeongbang Waterfall latte and Udo peanut rice cake taste?

The Jeongbang Waterfall latte felt like something you could only get here, just from the name. It's actually introduced as Forest Jeongbang's signature menu — a latte combining pistachio cream, espresso, and milk cream.

Taking a sip, the cream was smooth and nutty, and in the middle there was a bit of bitterness from the espresso along with a sweet, grassy note of pistachio — the combination of the three was surprisingly good. If you like sweet lattes, this is worth ordering at least once.

I always order an iced Americano to go with dessert whenever I go to a café, and this time was no exception.

Coffee tastes a bit different from café to café, and Forest Jeongbang's had a slightly acidic, high-end taste.

The Udo peanut rice cake had a lighter, moister texture compared to a regular flour-based cake, and the nutty flavor of Udo peanuts really came through. Exactly my style, honestly.

The character photo zone on the way out

On the way out, in the middle of the store, there's a photo zone with cute characters like Pikachu, Squirtle, and Mickey where they took our picture.

The location was perfect for a quick rest after visiting Jeongbang Waterfall, and the view was pretty too, so I was glad I stopped by on the last day of my Jeju trip.
