Seongsu anniversary date: bacon chip truffle gnocchi, Billadeubeulleu

Today I went to Billadeubeulleu in Seongsu!!

Turns out it was already famous in Haebangchon! It was so surprising that I could find it in Seongsu too. Yeah!

This was my first visit, and tasting the food and seeing the space, I could see why it's so popular.

Anyway, it was our anniversary, so my boyfriend and I went for a meal at the great-atmosphere Billadeubeulleu Seongsu.

What is the atmosphere like at Billadeubeulleu Seongsu?

The space is designed to evoke a seaside resort on the Italian coast, so the moment you walk in, the mood just hits you..🩵

The lasagna and its tableside aligot cheese pour

We ordered the lasagna and the gorgonzola truffle cream gnocchi.

The reason I picked the lasagna here wasn't just the taste — I was really curious about the aligot cheese performance!

When you order the aligot cheese, a staff member pours it over the dish right at your table, and it's a lot more eye-catching than you'd expect — genuinely fun to watch. Honestly I ordered it just to see this.

The lasagna overall had a lovely soft texture. The aligot cheese poured over the sauce was creamy and nutty, and it felt like it mellowed out the flavor nicely.

The two elements together made it not overpowering at all — smooth and easy to eat.

Gorgonzola truffle cream gnocchi: the bacon chips are the point

And then, one of my favorite dishes — gnocchi!

It's gorgonzola truffle cream gnocchi, and you could really feel that signature chewy gnocchi texture — delicious.

The bacon chips scattered throughout were sort of the quiet star of the dish. Crunchy against the soft, chewy gnocchi, it made the texture that much more fun?? I was worried the truffle aroma might be too strong, but it turned out milder than I expected. So I'd say even someone trying truffle for the first time, or who isn't a big fan, could enjoy this pretty comfortably!!

A room that suits first dates and anniversaries alike

The food was great, but honestly the space's atmosphere is what really got me. It's perfect for a date, and at the table next to us, someone was clearly on a blind date.

That's how well-suited this place is to occasions where atmosphere really matters, like blind dates or anniversaries.

Best of all, Seoul Forest is close by, so I'd recommend it as a date course!! With the weather this nice, eating here then walking over to Seoul Forest ..♡♡ If you're looking for a place to take your girlfriend or boyfriend, picking somewhere like this will probably earn you some serious points, right??

This time we had lasagna and gnocchi, but I'm curious about the rest of the menu, so I think I'll be back.

Ah!! Reserve before you go. One tip: I'd really recommend booking ahead. This place is popular, so if you show up without a reservation, the wait can get long. ㅠㅠㅠ

When you book, you can choose hall or outdoor seating separately. If the weather's nice and cool, eating on the terrace would be really lovely. Oh, and compared to the original Haebangchon location, the Seongsu branch is more spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room, so it could also work well for a group gathering after Seoul Forest!! (Up to 6 people can reserve online! 7 or more, call ahead.)

Parking near Billadeubeulleu Seongsu: use the public lot

Especially on weekends, it's a good idea to plan extra time for parking. There's no dedicated lot, so you'll need to use a nearby public parking lot.

If you're driving, I'd suggest giving yourself plenty of time.

If you want good food, a great atmosphere, and a stroll through Seoul Forest afterward on a special day, this is a place I'd recommend as a date course. We really enjoyed our meal, so we're planning to come back again.
