Seoul Forest weekend date Italian restaurant: Billadeubeulleu Seongsu
In short
Billadeubeulleu Seongsu is an Italian restaurant on a side street near Seoul Forest Station in Seongdong, Seoul. On a weekend date the writer ordered the Sicilian puttanesca pasta (19,000 won), where the cooked cherry tomatoes burst in the mouth, and the alligot cheese lasagna (22,000 won), which comes under a generous pour of cheese, then finished with the Maldon salt ice cream given through a Naver review event. Between the pasta, the lasagna and the dessert, Billadeubeulleu Seongsu made for a satisfying Seongsu date course.

When you head to Seongsu or Seoul Forest on a weekend, sometimes just hitting a café feels like something's missing, but a full heavy meal feels like too much. This time I wanted both a good atmosphere and a genuinely delicious meal, so I went to Billadeubeulleu Seongsu.
From the pasta's popping tomatoes to the cheese-waterfall lasagna and the chewy ice cream, this Seoul Forest Italian restaurant stuck with me like a whole tasting course.

Inside Billadeubeulleu Seongsu: atmosphere and table spacing
The interior of Billadeubeulleu Seongsu isn't huge, but the tables are spaced generously, so I barely felt like I was right next to other tables. It's a good layout for a date or a friends' get-together where you actually want to focus on the conversation.

And for two-person tables like ours that were a bit close together, everyone kept good etiquette (us included, and the other side too), so we could enjoy the atmosphere and the lasagna and pasta in comfort ^^

What we ordered: alligot cheese lasagna and Sicilian puttanesca pasta

You order via the QR code on the table. I thought it might be a call bell at first, but it's actually a code you use to check the menu and place the order. It's kind of nice not having to flag down a staff member.

Sicilian puttanesca pasta with olives and cherry tomatoes that burst in your mouth
Billadeubeulleu Seongsu's Sicilian Puttanesca Pasta (₩19,000) has olives, cherry tomatoes, and eggplant in it.

The pasta was pretty striking to look at from the start, but the most surprising part while eating it was the olives and cherry tomatoes.

Snowy cheese on top~ ah... I actually really can't eat spaghetti or pasta and can't finish even a third of a Korean meal usually... maybe that's just because I hadn't eaten it somewhere done properly until now..... I genuinely wanted to lick the plate clean, but as a bipedal [sapiens], I held back.

The cherry tomatoes especially were already cooked, but the second you bit into one, that same pop-in-your-mouth feeling was still totally there. Usually when tomatoes are halved and cooked, a lot of the moisture cooks off, but here they burst suddenly like sea squirt, to the point I wondered 'did they coat the surface with something?' With the eggplant and olives mixed in too, every bite had a different texture — the 'Seoul Forest pasta restaurant' keyword tag isn't attached to this place for nothing.
Alligot cheese lasagna, the signature dish you shouldn't skip
The Alligot Cheese Lasagna is ₩22,000, and it's the signature menu item that nearly every table at Billadeubeulleu Seongsu orders one of. And yeah, the main event really is the lasagna.

Looking around at the other tables, almost everyone had one lasagna ordered. In the open kitchen I could see them continuously prepping lasagna too, which really confirmed it's the signature dish.

They were tirelessly making lasagna after lasagna in the open kitchen~

They really don't hold back on the cheese, and that's where the visual comes together. The moment the cheese stretches long is a scene you should really capture on video, not just in photos. I tried to eat it neatly, one layer at a time, but in reality I ended up breaking it apart a bit as I went, haha. Still, scooping up the rich meat sauce, soft lasagna sheets, and cheese all together at once, the flavor combination really worked.
It's got a bit of showmanship to it, but it's such a genuinely mouthwatering cheese show~

That thickness, right? Hahaha. It really feels like the lasagna is tucked under a cheese blanket~! Actually not 'feels like' — it's a FACT~

Like a wrap from a certain burger chain — big and easy to eat~ though ours fell apart a bit...
Dessert at Billadeubeulleu Seongsu: ice cream topped with Maldon salt
The ice cream at Billadeubeulleu Seongsu was a dessert we got through a Naver review event, topped with Maldon salt and pepper. Even the dessert was this perfect, so honestly, this place is a cheat code for date-night green lights.

It was ice cream we got through the Naver review event, and having Maldon salt and pepper on top felt a bit unfamiliar at first.

But it was chewy like gelato rather than a type that melts away fast, so it held its shape for quite a while. With sweet vanilla plus salty salt and a hint of pepper, I kept reaching for another spoonful.
The blood sugar spike that makes everything look better
After eating something this good and getting a little blood sugar spike, even the person across from you suddenly looks prettier and more handsome — that kind of magic too, haha. Finishing it off cleanly with zero-sugar cola and sparkling water, it turned out to be a pretty satisfying Seongsu weekend date.
