Seomyeon bar: chicken feet dipped in mayo with udon, Yuumangju
In short
Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch is a bar-restaurant on the second floor of a building right in the middle of Manchwi-gil in Seomyeon, Busan, newly opened by the team behind Budan. Friends ordered the O-Dae-Bal platter (34,900 won) and aged kimchi rice balls (6,000 won), dipping the smoky grilled chicken feet, beef intestines and cuttlefish into mayonnaise before finishing the udon noodles in the sauce. Heat sits at about Shin Ramyun level, which made Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch a perfect spot for soju and drinking snacks in Seomyeon.

Inside Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch: group tables, bar counter and private hire
Being one of Busan Seomyeon's hot spots, the place was packed with people. The modern, clean interior really stood out.

There are plenty of group tables, so it's great for large parties. They said private bookings are available too, so keep that in mind! There's also bar seating, which looks perfect for a cozy date or drinking solo. And the clean open kitchen makes it even more trustworthy to eat there 。·͜·。

There's even a separate indoor restroom. It really seems like they thought about their guests in a lot of ways. The small details added up to a lot of satisfaction ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡

What drinking snacks does Yuumangju Seomyeon Branch serve?
Yuumangju is running a review event just like Budan does. Budan gives you bingsu (shaved ice dessert) for it, so Yuumangju probably does something similar. Definitely worth checking out‼️
True to its reputation as one of Seomyeon's best bars for drinking snacks, Yuumangju has all sorts of unique dishes you won't find anywhere else. It's not just plain chicken feet — they pair it with beef intestines and cuttlefish, add boiled pork and crispy rice to their gomtang (bone broth soup), and mix pork skin with mala sauce and soft tofu! How do they even come up with these combinations? They must have thought long and hard about it. ᐣ. ᐟ My friends and I were craving spicy chicken feet, so we ordered the O-Dae-Bal!

As a basic side dish, we got garlic bread. It came out with a nice thick coating of sauce, perfect for beer 👏

O-Dae-Bal, 34,900 won: chicken feet, beef intestines, cuttlefish and udon
O-Dae-Bal (34,900 won). Chicken feet alone would already be delicious, but then you add even tastier beef intestines and cuttlefish ᜊ♡ᜊ And since udon noodles come mixed in too, it's plenty for a full meal.
The owner cut the cuttlefish into nice bite-sized pieces. Can you see how plump it is? It was so moist, you have no idea.

⭐️Close-up shot⭐️ I tried a bit of everything. You can see how thick the cuttlefish is. Plump, moist, and thick enough to give it a good chew. The chicken feet were soft like the tender part of jokbal (pig's trotters), not tough at all. And the beef intestines — need I say more! Look how plump they are ㅠ Stir-fried in their special sauce with plenty of that fire-charred aroma, the O-Dae-Bal had me gasping in amazement with every bite.

How spicy is O-Dae-Bal, and how are the udon noodles?
The udon noodles were boiled just right too, soaking up all the sauce so it tasted like yaki-udon. I have no idea what's in that special sauce, but it was truly delicious. The spice level: about Shin Ramyun level!

Personally, I'm team mayo-dip for chicken feet, so I asked for some mayonnaise on the side. Spicy + mayonnaise = 💓

Best side dish for soju, seriously 👏👏

Aged kimchi rice balls, 6,000 won, dipped in the O-Dae-Bal sauce
Aged kimchi rice balls (6,000 won). Partway through, I started craving rice. These rice balls, packed full of aged kimchi, made me want to hurry and dip them into the O-Dae-Bal sauce ◝✩ 𐩢𐩺
My friend's hands, deftly rolling them up.

Ta-da. Rolled up so nicely, right? Every so often you bite into a piece of aged kimchi — what a nice touch! Whoever thought to put aged kimchi in rice balls is a genius. Truly one of Seomyeon's best bars for drinking food .◜ɞ◝♡

Chicken feet and mayonnaise piled on top of a rice ball — one bite! The spiciness of the chicken feet and the tanginess of the aged kimchi were such a great combination. I turned into a mukbang YouTuber and could have eaten endlessly.

O-Dae-Bal was so good as a side dish for soju...
The line posted by the exit on the way out

Meeting up with friends after a long time, sharing delicious food and soju while catching up on life — that time itself was healing. Just like the line in that photo, our lives are still works in progress, which is exactly what makes them fun and worth looking forward to. Watching everyone hang in there and keep living, each in their own place, made me think we're all promising talents in our own right. It was such a nice line to have posted right by the exit. Great food, great memories — I recommend Yuumangju.
