Where is 12.24 Seomyeon Branch, the Jeonpo izakaya in Busan?
Today I'm introducing 12.24 Seomyeon Branch, which I found while looking for a good-vibe izakaya in Jeonpo! There are so many great restaurants and bars in the Jeonpo area that it's hard to decide where to go, but this place has a Japanese izakaya atmosphere and a really wide menu, making it great for drinks with friends or a date. It's a genuine favorite I keep coming back to, haha.
It's about a 4-minute walk from Jeonpo Station Exit 7, and with so many bars nearby, it's very easy to get to.

Weekend visit: was there a wait at 12.24 Seomyeon Branch?
It's on the first floor so it's easy to find, and there's a menu board and a waiting area set up in front of the store, so even if there's a wait, you can browse the menu while you're at it ☺️. I visited on a weekend, and after our table there was already a waiting list. Reservations are possible too, so I'd recommend booking ahead before you visit.

Inside 12.24 Seomyeon Branch: bar seats and group tables
Maybe because the store's name, 12.24, evokes Christmas Eve, the whole atmosphere feels warm and cozy 💛. Along with table seats, there are also bar-style seats, so it's good for a group of friends and also perfect for a light solo drink. It's an open-kitchen layout too, so you can watch the food being prepared — that touch made it feel even more like being in a real Japanese izakaya. There are also group seats, so it'd work well for a bigger get-together.
When you leave a Naver receipt review event, you get chicken karaage!! You've got to do it, right? Haha.

The 12.24 Seomyeon Branch menu and what we ordered
Looking at the menu, it had far more variety than I expected — everything from sashimi and futomaki (thick sushi roll) to mackerel bong-sushi, plus kushikatsu (skewered fried cutlets), fried items, okonomiyaki, hot pots, and stir-fried noodles. A great lineup to pick from depending on your mood!

The drinks menu is also huge — sake, beer, highballs, soju, and more.
- ✅ 2-person sashimi (35.0)
- ✅ Giant tuna futomaki (28.0)
- ✅ Soju (5.0)

The basic side dishes are sweet potato sticks and corn salad. I love sweet potato sticks enough to stock up on them at the store, and I'm obsessed with corn salad too — so even the free side dishes were totally my style,,

Sashimi for two, 35,000 won: what comes on the plate
🐠 2-person sashimi (35.0). The 2-person sashimi came out gorgeously arranged, colorful right from the first look — flounder, red seabream, salmon, tuna, scallop, shrimp, and more, all generously plated together. The sashimi overall had a springy yet soft texture, clean without any fishy taste, and a subtle savory depth that came through. This place is a genuine sashimi spot 😋. The cuts were especially thick, so you could really feel the texture of the fish itself, and I loved getting to try so many varieties at once.

My personal favorite was the salmon!! It was cut to just the right thickness, soft, with a rich, distinctive nuttiness. The lightly seared salmon had its surface torched, adding a smoky, nutty note beyond regular salmon — a fun, different way to eat it.

Can you see how thick the tuna is? A little wasabi and soy sauce and the savory flavor is amazing.

There was a nice variety — red seabream, flounder, and more — and it even came with the fin meat, which made me super happy. Since it's for two people, the price felt reasonable, and the portion was generous, so I really recommend the sashimi.

Giant tuna futomaki, 28,000 won, with free salmon on top
🍣 Giant tuna futomaki (28.0). The owner added free salmon on top of the futomaki as a service (this kind of thing is exactly how you end up a regular). It was stuffed so full of fillings it was hard to fit in one bite — it looked delicious just from the visuals.

Such a gorgeous futomaki,,, I ate the mackerel bong-sushi so happily last time that I hesitated before ordering the futomaki, but it was a choice I didn't regret. Built around the soft, clean flavor of tuna with several other ingredients mixed in, each bite was nutty and savory with a subtle sweetness.
My friend took a photo saying it was literally the size of my fist, lol. No matter how big it is, you've got to eat it in one bite.

If you like the end pieces of gimbap (seaweed rice roll), that's me. The fillings felt even more packed in, so it tasted twice as good. The rice wasn't overloaded and the fillings were packed tight, which I liked — the tuna was soft to bite into, and the crunchy texture of the other ingredients rounded it out nicely. It's a great dish to order alongside the sashimi if you feel like sashimi alone isn't quite enough — recommended :)
