Unmanned flip book studio near Jeonpo Station in Busan: Jeonpo Times
In short
Movie Photo Book Jeonpo Times is an unmanned flip book and photo studio in an alley a 5-minute walk from Jeonpo Station in Busanjin-gu, Busan. With two children aged 5 and 6, we paid 7,000 won for two newspaper photos and 16,000 won for a 1+1 flip book set of two books, shooting three 8-second clips and then binding and decorating the books ourselves with a stapler and hole punch, plus a free photo event. The on-screen guides at Jeonpo Times are so clear that even someone hopeless with machines, and the kids themselves, could finish everything alone.

Today's post is an honest review of a fun date/hangout spot in Jeonpo with the kids — Movie Photo Book Jeonpo Times.

Where is Jeonpo Times, and how far is it from Jeonpo Station?
Movie Photo Book Jeonpo Times, a great spot for a date or hangout in Jeonpo, sits about a 5-minute walk from Jeonpo Station. It's tucked in an alley but easy to find.

The area is mostly restaurants and bars, but this place is plastered with photos, so you immediately think, ah, this must be a photo spot! haha

Newspaper photos at Jeonpo Times: 2 prints for 7,000 won with the 1+1 event
Outside the store there's a 1+1 newspaper photo event that would be a shame to just walk past.

Newspaper photos: 2 for ₩7,000
You take the photo outside, choose black and white or color, pick a background, and your figure gets placed into it — the steps are simple, just follow along.

The kids waiting and yelling to hurry up and come out were so cute haha

Since you get 2 prints, we decided to take one home and stick the other up in the store — tiny hands worked hard pasting it up.

They also pack it in plastic so you can take it home without it getting crumpled or dirty.

Inside the unmanned store: props, machines and how tidy it is
Inside, there are several props worth using to dress up before shooting the flip book.

Since it's an unmanned store, you might expect it to be a bit rundown or messy, but Movie Photo Book Jeonpo Times was nothing like that — clean and in great condition.
It was the kids' first time with a flip book, so we all got excited, tried out every prop, spent ages deliberating, and finally got ready to shoot.
Two flip books for 16,000 won: how the three 8-second takes work
This right here is the flip book machine — the main attraction of Movie Photo Book Jeonpo Times!!

Making two books with the 1+1 deal for ₩16,000 felt incredibly cheap for what you get at Movie Photo Book Jeonpo Times.
I'm not exactly young anymore, so I worried — what if it's too complicated and I can't figure it out alone, since there's no owner around at an unmanned store... but the guide was so detailed that even a tech novice like me could manage just fine.
You just need to move a lot for 8 seconds, three times, and it comes out as a moving sequence of photos.
Step by step, it's really not hard!! In fact every single part of the process is fun!!
Flip book set: 2 books for ₩16,000
A total of 20 pages print out including the cover, and since it's 1+1, that's 40 pages total, taking about 1–2 minutes — just wait patiently.

You shoot three 8-second clips and just pick your favorite one.

You also choose the cover photo from 3 options.

Ta-da!! Now that everything's chosen, just wait, wait~~~

After the wait, the photos come out and the kids were thrilled.
Can a 5- or 6-year-old assemble and decorate a flip book alone?
The way you assemble the flip book yourself is so simple that even 5-6 year olds can do it on their own.

Staple the photos together, punch holes, and decorate!!!

Movie Photo Book Jeonpo Times was a great spot to fully enjoy time with 5-6 year olds and build memories.

Ta-da~~ here's what the kids finished making — I love the final result.

The kids were as excited as if they'd made a craft project, and just the time we spent making it together felt precious and happy.
A flip book is when you gather 20 photos and flip through them quickly so it feels like a moving video — pretty successful for a first try, don't you think?
The free photo event at Jeonpo Times
I thought that was the end, but Movie Photo Book Jeonpo Times also lets you take photos for free through a special event.

You can take a quick shot and print it out right away — free photos you could just drop by for casually after a date nearby, how great is that?
With such an easy process, an affordable price, multiple finished pieces to take home, and a whole session spent laughing and having fun together, I was really glad we came to Movie Photo Book Jeonpo Times, a great spot for dates and hangouts in Jeonpo.

I was so satisfied — if you're looking for things to do in Jeonpo or places to visit there, you have to check this place out!! Highly recommend it for anyone looking for something fun to do with kids too^^
