Pyeongchon spa jaw asymmetry treatment before wedding shoot: Esthetia
In short
Esthetia Pyeongchon Branch 1 is a wedding-prep and facial contour spa in Anyang, Gyeonggi, a 5-minute walk from Exit 2 of Pyeongchon Station. Ahead of an October wedding photoshoot on Jeju, the writer was worried about asymmetry in the right jaw, so after a 1:1 consultation she booked the Active Repair contour treatment, which released the occipital bone, scalp and fascia with gentle pressure and left a tidier jawline in the before-and-after photos. For anyone put off by the bruising of strong-pressure Korean meridian massage, Esthetia's contour treatment is an easy first step.

Why treat an asymmetric jaw before a wedding photoshoot?
The treatment I got at Esthetia Pyeongchon Branch 1 was the Active Repair contour care. I have a wedding photoshoot in Jeju coming up in October! Thinking about my hair being tied up and being photographed from every angle, I figured I'd better hurry up and deal with the jaw asymmetry I'd been worrying about for a while.
What I really wanted wasn't just a treatment to make my face smaller, but one that would naturally even out the overall balance and lines of my face. While comparing different esthetic clinics in Pyeongchon, Esthetia Pyeongchon Branch 1 caught my eye because it does facial care and wedding care alongside contour care.

What kind of spa is Esthetia Pyeongchon Branch 1?

Esthetia Pyeongchon Branch 1 is a premium esthetic clinic in the Beomgye and Pyeongchon area of Anyang, specializing in wedding skin care and facial contour care. They run programs for people preparing for filming or important schedules — broadcasters, announcers, shopping-show hosts, influencers — as well as wedding care for brides-to-be.
What stood out was that they offer facial contour and small-face care, asymmetric cheekbone and double-chin line care, V-line lifting and elasticity care, and even collarbone and shoulder-back line care, all together! That seemed like a great fit for me, since I wanted overall image care before my wedding.
Getting to Esthetia: Pyeongchon Station exit and free parking
It's a 5-minute walk from Exit 2 of Pyeongchon Station on Line 4. Free parking is available, though the entrance can be a bit confusing — you go through the alley by Dongan-yangju Tax Office and into the parking lot of the black building.

What the 1:1 consultation at Esthetia covered
When getting esthetic care, I think it's important to first check the current state of your face rather than just going through a fixed program. Esthetia Pyeongchon Branch 1 does a 1:1 consultation checking skin condition, facial lines, and even lifestyle habits before suggesting a program tailored to you — that's why I booked right away!

I have a habit of chewing only on my right side, so my right jaw was noticeably bigger than my left — that was my asymmetry concern.

So while filling out the 1:1 consultation chart, I explained my concern in detail, and they told me that when it comes to facial contouring, you don't just focus on one part — you have to consider the overall balance of the face when setting the care direction. Especially with facial asymmetry or left-right balance concerns, it's important to look at the flow of the whole face rather than just applying strong pressure.
The treatment I received was the Active Repair contour care, designed for people with not just asymmetry but also lifting and double-chin concerns.

Inside Esthetia: the powder room and treatment room
After the consultation, I changed clothes in the powder room, which even had a hair dryer and hairspray so it wouldn't be a problem even if I had plans after the treatment.

Such a clean powder room!

Such a clean treatment room! The assistant manager who did my initial consultation also handled the treatment itself, so she went in fully understanding my asymmetry concerns, which made me trust the process even more.

Does the Active Repair contour treatment hurt?
I came straight from work that day so I still had my makeup on, and before starting the treatment, they did a thorough cleansing while I lay down.
The Active Repair I received works by loosening the occipital bone, scalp, and fascia and focusing on those areas to improve double chin and asymmetry. I thought lymphatic massage meant pressure so strong it bruises you, basically smashing your face (haha), but they said pressure isn't the issue when it comes to correcting asymmetry. Rather, asymmetry can come from bad posture caused by tension in the back of the neck, scalp, and trapezius muscles, so you need to gently loosen the upper body muscles with moderate pressure. I went in terrified of bruising, but it was such a comfortable massage, with tension relief as a bonus!

Jawline before and after the Active Repair treatment
Left is before the treatment, right is after. After the treatment my makeup had worn off and I looked a bit worn out so it was hard to see the facial line clearly in photos, so I just used the dark circle and blemish eraser on the photo.
In the left photo you can clearly see the fullness and sagging double chin on my right side that always stressed me out, but in the right photo you can see the jawline has noticeably tightened up. Can you see how my elongated, cucumber-shaped face turned slightly egg-shaped? And to think this was possible without any pain...
Why Esthetia is worth booking for facial contour care in Anyang
After getting the Active Repair contour care at Esthetia, I realized that contour care isn't just about making your face smaller. It's important to consider the left-right balance, the center line, the cheekbones and jawline, and the overall flow of the face together to create a harmonious impression.
Esthetia Pyeongchon Branch 1 offers skin care, contour care, and lifting care all together, which made me think it's a Pyeongchon esthetic clinic that really suits this purpose. If you have an important schedule coming up like a wedding or photoshoot, or if you've been concerned about your left-right facial balance, cheekbones, jawline, or double chin, it might be worth getting a consultation to figure out the right care direction for you.
