Hi everyone, it's Rims~~~~!!
Lately I haven't had time to exercise, and honestly, sweating it out at the gym felt like too much to even attempt. Too busy with studying and everything else ㅜㅜ

What is Xpa in Yeongtong? EMS stimulation plus a half-body bath
Xpa is an EMS spa center in Yeongtong, Suwon. I found it while looking for something I could do without free time to exercise, and got curious enough to check it out~~~!!!!

Before going, I looked it up and found that this kind of setup isn't common in Korea!!!!

It's run by EMS Training Academy Korea, which somehow made me feel more at ease about it!!!!

I usually thought of EMS as just an exercise device that stimulates muscles with electric currents~~~!!

But Xpa combines that principle with a half-body bath, which was a completely new concept to me~~~~~~!!

They adjust the water temperature and stimulation intensity so you can use it for muscle strengthening, pain relief, or body shape care depending on your goal — I thought that was pretty fascinating~~~~~!!!

Why 20 minutes a day, twice a week, was enough to start
The guideline I got at Xpa was 20 minutes a day, about twice a week. Honestly, my usual routine is sitting for work and then collapsing on the couch after getting home ㅜㅜㅜ

Hearing that this kind of sedentary lifestyle quietly eats away at your muscle over time hit a little too close to home.

But since they said 20 minutes a day, twice a week was enough, I could start without feeling any pressure. Let's go, weight loss~~~~~~~!!!

For someone like me who kept putting off exercise with the excuse of no time, this felt like exactly the right fit!!!!!!!!!!! How beautiful is it to lose weight while just sitting there
How the low-frequency stimulation and massage mode felt at Xpa
Trying it out at Xpa, even though I was just sitting in the water, I could subtly feel the stimulation. !!

As the low-frequency stimulation reached my abdomen and limbs, I could feel my muscles contracting faintly

I hadn't moved at all, but afterward my body felt pleasantly worn out, like I'd actually exercised.
And when they switched to the massage mode, areas where circulation wasn't great felt satisfyingly released

My legs tend to swell often, so this part was especially satisfying.

Who is the Xpa body contouring spa best for?
Xpa's EMS spa has no intense movements, so I'd recommend it even to people who tend to avoid exercise. Above all, I thought it could be a low-pressure option for people who avoid exercise due to bad joints, or for older adults worried about sarcopenia or osteoporosis.
There are no intense movements — you just let your body relax into it.

I'd also recommend it to people like me who feel like weight doesn't come off due to poor circulation, or to anyone with lingering wrist or finger pain after childbirth.

Xpa InBody results: weight down, muscle up
I also had my InBody measured at Xpa, and my weight was down while my muscle mass was up. For a few days after visiting, my body definitely felt lighter.

Rather than making some big elaborate exercise plan and giving up after three days, this kind of short, consistent care seems to suit me a lot better.
