Daejeon science magic show plus Hanbat Arboretum walk: Magician JT

Last Sunday I went with my kid to see Magician JT's Science Lab magic show at the small theater in Pyeongsong Youth Culture Center, Daejeon!

My kid genuinely had a blast, so let me share my review of this science magic show.

What kind of show is Magician JT's Science Lab?

It's a science magic show that gets kids screaming with excitement, clapping, and playing along, all while sparking their curiosity through magic and science.

My husband came in with our kid and watched the full 60 minutes of JT's Science Lab too — he said our kid loved it, and honestly he as an adult loved it too. It's a magic show that both kids and parents can genuinely enjoy together.

Buy tickets for your whole family and you get a discount on top, so it's a magic show the whole family can watch without breaking the bank. Booking is open right up until showtime starts, and seats are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis on-site one hour before the show, so I'd recommend arriving early to grab front-row seats!

The show is held at Pyeongsong Training Center, within walking distance of the Natural Monument Museum, an insect museum, Expo Park, Hanbat Arboretum, and more, so it worked out really well with my kid. Before the show started, there were cute balloons, goods for sale, and even a photo zone, which got my kid even more excited for the show. She kept saying she couldn't wait, haha.

A hands-on, participatory science magic show

Can a kindergartner sit through all 60 minutes?

Normally when my kindergartner goes to a show, she needs the bathroom at least 3 times. But watching Magician JT's Science Lab, she only went once~ Even that one bathroom trip, she was saying she wanted to hurry back in — that's how much kids enjoy this show!

The show also lets parents who came along join in, and kids can participate directly too, so it's the kind of interactive magic show that kids love even more. My husband and I had a great time too.

The hour really flies by~ Watching my kid laugh and giggle the whole time, I thought, I'm so glad I brought her to see this.

They said the magic show has more tour dates lined up nationwide, so I'd really recommend taking your kids to see it once! It was truly a jam-packed 60 minutes, haha. My kindergartner son said he wants to go see it again. If it comes back to Daejeon, I'll definitely take her hand and go once more~
