I've been low-key stressed about my fringe lately, so I went to Blooming Day Hongje Station Branch, right in front of Hongje Station 💇🏻♀️ The salon where I got my fringe magic perm is literally right at Hongje Station Exit 2, so accessibility was amazing!
This place also has really nice prices — a budget-friendly hair salon in Hongje where I could get a fringe magic perm for ₩25,000 😳 A full volume perm is also just ₩77,000, which honestly feels like a steal given how much salons charge these days. Here's my honest review after getting my fringe permed at Blooming Day Hongje Station Branch 🫶🏻

What the salon looks like inside

The interior overall was clean and bright. Sunlight poured in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, and it never felt stuffy, so it was pleasant even while getting the treatment done.

The seats were neatly arranged and the whole interior had a warm feel, which made it comfortable to sit through the styling. When a salon is too cluttered or chaotic it's hard to sit still for long, but this place had a fairly relaxed vibe, which I liked ☺️
How much is a fringe perm? 25,000 won, plus 5,000 won for a shampoo
The treatment I got was a fringe magic perm. ₩25,000 for a fringe perm! Such a nice price, right? Haha. These days even a fringe-only perm can run surprisingly high at some salons, but here it was ₩25,000, so it felt like a low-pressure treatment to get.

And shampoo is an extra ₩5,000! If you skip the shampoo add-on, they only wash the fringe area, so it's worth keeping in mind when booking. This time I decided to focus on getting just the fringe neatly permed 💇🏻♀️
The fringe straightening perm step by step with designer Gureum
Before starting the fringe perm, designer Gureum first checked the condition of my fringe and consulted with me on how to proceed. Bangs sit right in front of your face, so even the smallest mistake really shows 🥹 Especially if it's straightened too flat, the fringe can end up sticking right to your face, so keeping it natural was the important part.
Designer Gureum checked my fringe condition and worked through the treatment carefully. Even though the price was low, it never felt rushed — she took her time, which I appreciated ☺️

She applied the perm solution to my fringe and carefully sectioned off the parts that needed it.

Sipping tea while my fringe got straightened!! Since a fringe perm only covers a small area, it takes a lot less time than a full perm, which was nice. If you're someone who blow-dries and flat-irons your fringe every single morning, this is definitely a treatment worth trying once.
Fringe before and after: how much did it really change?

And now for the most important part — before and after the fringe perm! Before the treatment, my fringe wouldn't fall cleanly in the direction I wanted and kept lifting or sticking out slightly. After the perm, the fringe line was noticeably neater and more settled ✨

Instead of sticking flat to my forehead, it settled into a natural fall, which I loved. Just fixing my fringe made my whole look so much cleaner ☺️ Bangs really do affect the whole vibe of your face, haha. If you're like me and struggle with your fringe every morning, I highly recommend getting a fringe perm!
Is Blooming Day Hongje Station Branch worth it?
- ✔️ Right at Hongje Station Exit 2, so accessibility is great

- ✔️ Full volume perm is also just ₩77,000

Above all, at a time when salon prices feel like a real burden, this seems like a solid option if you're looking for a budget-friendly hair salon in Hongje. If you've been wanting to just tidy up your fringe but hesitated because of the cost, ₩25,000 for a fringe perm makes it an easy, low-pressure visit ☺️ And if you're considering a full perm, ₩77,000 for the full volume perm keeps that affordable too!
