Pyeongando Sikdang Sinchon Branch is a 24-hour soup restaurant at 12 Yonsei-ro 4-gil, 1st floor, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, just 216m from Exit 3 of Sinchon Station. It's open every day of the year, and offers group seating, takeout, reservations, delivery, and a waiting area.

Today I'm posting about Pyeongando Sikdang Sinchon Branch near Yonsei University. Last weekend I went to see Hahha's concert at Yonsei University's main auditorium. Before enjoying the concert, I visited Pyeongando Sikdang Sinchon Branch for lunch.

Where can you park near Pyeongando Sikdang?

Pyeongando Sikdang Sinchon Branch has no parking of its own. I parked in Yonsei University's underground parking lot and walked about 10 minutes to get there. If you're driving, you can use the nearby paid parking lot, Buja Parking Lot (120m away).

Pyeongando Sikdang Sinchon Branch offers a variety of soup dishes including sundae-guk (blood sausage soup), ppyeo-haejangguk (bone hangover soup), gamjatang (pork bone stew), seolleongtang (ox bone soup), and sogeori-gukbap (ox head rice soup).

The interior was clean, with 2-, 4-, 6-person tables and bar seating. Since we visited for a late lunch, we were lucky to find seats open. Apparently the place gets so busy at lunch and dinner peak times that there's a wait.

What comes with the basic table setting?

The basic side dishes set out first were kimchi, kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), chives, cucumber peppers, onion, and ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste), with saeujeot (salted shrimp), pepper, ground perilla seeds, salt, and dadaegi (spicy seasoning) placed on the table.

Boiled pork slices and two kinds of sundae with the sets

The sets at Pyeongando Sikdang Sinchon Branch come with boiled pork slices and sundae, and the sundae comes in two kinds — chapssal sundae (glutinous rice blood sausage) and meat sundae. Wow... the boiled pork... I don't usually like boiled pork, but this was delicious haha. There was zero smell and it was chewy and tasty. Topped with saeujeot and ssamjang, it was so good! A light and nice thing to nibble on while waiting for the sundae-guk — the sundae and boiled pork were both delicious.

A rich yet clean broth, generously loaded with sundae and head meat. Add ground perilla seeds, chives, dadaegi, and saeujeot to taste. The meat was tender, and it went so well with the deep broth that I ended up slurping it all down :)

Premium Seolleongtang Set, 15,000 won

✔️The Premium Seolleongtang Set is a milky-white seolleongtang with tender beef brisket.

The seolleongtang came out still bubbling, with thin noodles and brisket inside. Clean broth, soft brisket. My daughter said it was so delicious and polished off a whole bowl of rice. Eaten together with the kimchi and kkakdugi that came alongside, it was soooo good.

Such a delicious, generous spread. A meal both kids and adults could enjoy heartily with no complaints.
