There are certain foods you just have to eat once the cooldown wears off, you know? For me that's sushi. I heard there was a real gem near Osan Station, so I rushed over. Here's my review of Special Sushi!

For parking, use Unam Public Parking Lot! I drove there and parked here, and it was super close — only 1–2 minutes from the restaurant.

It's on the 2nd floor, so just hop in the elevator and zoom up~
How long is the wait at Special Sushi Osan Branch?
Special Sushi Osan Branch definitely has a wait during busy hours... I showed up right at mealtime and yep, there was a line, ugh. But I got in after just 10 minutes, so total win!

There's a reason you have to go even if there's a wait. Why? Because the value is insane... ₩1,890 a plate, seriously nuts value. But does the quality suffer? Nope, it's really good.

The prices are already so kind, and they run all sorts of events too — how could you not love this place~~

How the conveyor belt and table setup work
Special Sushi Osan Branch runs the conveyor-belt style like this, so it's genuinely fun to just pick things up as they pass! There are plenty of staff working the inner counter, keeping the belt stocked, so you never have to wait around while eating!

Each seat comes stocked with pickled ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce, so you don't need to order extra when you run low — self-serve and convenient!

As soon as you sit down, they bring out a warm soup first!

Such a nice appetizer before diving in for real.
₩1,890 a plate: salmon, raw shrimp and tuna sushi
Let's start fresh and bright with salmon. And yes — this plate is ₩1,890. Isn't that insane value?

The sushi pieces are big too, and it's honestly unbelievable that a whole plate is under ₩2,000.

Personally, the raw shrimp sushi was my favorite! The ingredients were so fresh and good. A lot of budget sushi places give you thin slices of fish and pile on the rice, but here the seafood-to-rice ratio is just right!
A sushi lover's trick: pickled ginger dipped in soy sauce
This is the cheat code only sushi pros use. Dip pickled ginger deep into soy sauce and spread it right on the raw fish~~ It gives it this subtle ginger fragrance and it's ridiculously delicious ^_ㅠ

Look at the color on this tuna sushi... This place especially has lots of raw fish sushi, so it's perfect for anyone who usually loves seafood! It melts in your mouth, melts~

Turns out salmon prices vary by cut too. This place doesn't just use the cheap cuts — they've got the premium ones too, so it's fun picking and choosing.
When I eat sushi, I care a lot about the rice, and here the grains don't get mushy but loosen up just enough, balancing perfectly with the fish.
Ah, you can't skip shrimp sushi. And the visuals here are next level too... see how plump the shrimp is? Wow.

While eating, keep checking what to grab next. That's the shortcut to becoming a true foodie.
Beef-and-cheese sushi, futomaki and ₩5,000 albap
I don't remember exactly what this one was called, but it was just amazing... sprinkled with bonito flakes for extra umami, and the meat-cheese flavor combo was top tier... you have to try this one.

Didn't expect to see futomaki here lol. It's packed with crab meat and salmon inside, plus savory fried shrimp, so each bite bursting in your mouth feels like pure happiness~~

Albap (fish roe rice bowl) — ₩5,000. Turns out they have albap here too? And it's only ₩5,000, insane value...

The portion is huge too, and the popping texture — even after filling up on sushi, somehow there's still room for this.

Not done yet~ Would be a shame not to have at least one roll~~
Eel sushi, come on in~ I thought they didn't have any and got kind of sad, hahaha

There's such a wide variety of menu items here, picking and choosing was genuinely so much fun!

Wrapped up with a cute dessert!

₩35,000 for two — is Special Sushi Osan worth a second visit?
Eating this much at Special Sushi Osan Branch and walking out having paid ₩35,000. So let's talk about just how much I ate haha... but is it even real that all this only came to ₩35,000?
This might be my favorite sushi spot I've visited recently. Delicious, affordable, and top-notch freshness — if you're looking for a great sushi restaurant near Osan Station, I highly recommend it!!!
