Hanwoo sirloin ++ and handmade pork galbi in one Yangju meal: Manpo
In short
Manpo Garden is a charcoal grill restaurant on Godeok-ro 355beon-gil in Yangju, Gyeonggi, where handmade Korean pork galbi and hanwoo (Korean beef) are served at the same table. The order was handmade pork galbi, hanwoo sirloin ++, and chadol doenjang sulbap (beef brisket soybean stew with rice), with banchan that included yukhoe (raw beef) and yukjeon (pan-fried beef) plus a free house-made Hamhung-style naengmyeon. Manpo Garden suits a family meal where you want to compare pork galbi and hanwoo side by side.

I was looking for a place to eat meat in Yangju and this time I went to Manpo Garden 🥩 I was going to just get pork galbi but then I saw hanu (Korean beef) on the menu, so in the end I ordered both hanu-style pork galbi AND hanu sirloin ++ ..!!! hahaha If you've been searching for a Yangju hanu restaurant or a Yangju galbi restaurant, this menu breakdown might help. Let me write up the full review.

What are the exterior and parking like at Manpo Garden?
Manpo Garden has generous parking space both in front and behind the building, so it was easy to visit by car. It's a fairly large restaurant, and even before going in, it looked good for a family meal or a group gathering.

What is the inside of Manpo Garden like?
The inside of Manpo Garden was cleanly arranged overall rather than having that chaotic feel some grill houses have, so it seemed like a fine place to bring your parents! The hall is on the spacious side, and there are separate private rooms too.

There's no long vent duct hanging down over the table, so your view isn't blocked — I kind of liked that lowkey haha.
What is on the menu at this Yangju galbi restaurant?
Manpo Garden's menu was more varied than I expected. There's hanu-style pork galbi, pork belly, pork neck, gabrisal, and hangjeongsal, plus a full hanu (Korean beef) menu, so you can eat pork and beef together at the same table.

What I ordered was three things: hanu-style pork galbi, hanu sirloin ++, and chadol doenjang sulbap (rice soup with brisket in doenjang broth). I was only going to get pork galbi, but once I saw the hanu sirloin ++, it was hard to just walk past it 😇😇

Banchan that includes yukhoe and yukjeon
Then the banchan (side dishes) came out, and they were beautifully arranged ☺️

Salad is included as standard,

and it's a generous spread that even includes yukhoe (raw seasoned beef) and yukjeon (pan-fried beef) 😋

Next the charcoal came out, and the structure was set up so the smoke draws inward~!

There's also a self-service bar, so I could easily grab more banchan whenever we ran low :)
How was the handmade Korean pork galbi?
The first thing we grilled at Manpo Garden was the hanu-style pork galbi. Marinated galbi burns easily if you're not careful because of the sauce, so I kept flipping it, and once the charcoal aroma took hold, it smelled amazing right away.

The sauce wasn't so strong that it drowned out the meat's flavor — it was more of a sweet-savory glaze that soaked in naturally. It went well with rice, and eating it with pickled onions or other side dishes changed the flavor each time, so I kept reaching for more.
Tasting the hanwoo sirloin ++ at the same table
Then came the hanu sirloin ++ I'd been looking forward to 🥩 I wondered if eating hanu right after the sauced pork galbi would get lost in the sauce flavor, but the texture and richness were clearly different — it really felt like eating a completely different dish.

I didn't grill the hanu too long, just seared the surface, and thanks to the marbling in the sirloin, the nuttiness that came through in the mouth was great.
Coming here for galbi and being able to eat hanu at the same time seems to be one of Manpo Garden's advantages.

If you're looking for a Yangju hanu restaurant and want to eat several kinds of meat in one visit, this menu looks like a solid choice.
Chadol doenjang sulbap: is the beef brisket stew worth it?
Manpo Garden's chadol doenjang sulbap has rice sitting in a doenjang broth with brisket added, so it feels a bit more filling than plain doenjang-jjigae with a bowl of rice on the side. After eating meat, if you don't have some carbs, the meal feels unfinished somehow haha, so I ordered the chadol doenjang sulbap too.

It has a savory, slightly rich doenjang flavor, so it's good for taking a spoonful between bites of meat, and it also worked well as the final course of the meal 😄
Is the naengmyeon at Manpo Garden really free?
The most surprising part of Manpo Garden haha — when you order meat, you get free self-made Hamhung-style naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles).

You can choose between water naengmyeon and bibim (mixed) naengmyeon, and it's not just a token couple of bites of dessert — it was a proper enough portion to cleanse your palate after all that meat 👏

Usually if you order naengmyeon on top of a meat meal at a grill house, the bill jumps up more than you'd expect, so having it free was quite nice. Especially if you save one last piece of marinated galbi to eat with the naengmyeon — yeah, that galbi-plus-naengmyeon combo just doesn't fail 🙂🙂

Final thoughts after the soft-serve dessert
On top of everything, Manpo Garden really came through on dessert too. There were even ice cups ready for iced coffee, which was a nice touch 👍 There's also ppeongtwigi (puffed rice crackers) and soft-serve ice cream. I honestly thought I was going to burst 🥹
It's not just a place for hanu-style pork galbi — you can eat hanu sirloin ++ alongside it, plus chadol doenjang sulbap and free naengmyeon, so the menu lineup was pretty varied. The restaurant is spacious with private rooms available, so it seemed like a good spot for a family meal or dining with your parents too !! If you're looking for a Yangju galbi restaurant, or a Yangju hanu restaurant where you can eat galbi and hanu together at one table, check the menu and give Manpo Garden a visit :)
