Today I'm sharing a group dinner spot I found while looking for Jeju thick-cut pork near Gangnam Station — Deo Bareun Jeongyuk Sikdang Gangnam Sinnonhyeon Station Main Branch!

A butcher restaurant near Exit 3 of Sinnonhyeon Station

It's close to Exit 3 of Sinnonhyeon Station, so it's easy to get to, and the meat lineup runs from Korean beef to Jeju black pork, which made it a solid choice for a group dinner or company gathering haha.

You can check the menu and prices right outside the entrance, which was nice for seeing what's on offer before heading in.

The first thing that caught my eye walking in was the huge meat-aging fridge! Korean beef to Jeju black pork lined up in rows — it really felt like a butcher restaurant that takes meat quality seriously, which got my expectations up haha.

Group reservations get a quiet room

The inside was bigger and cleaner than I expected. It was still early and yet already pretty packed! Glad we booked ahead haha.

We came as a group, and they set us up with a quiet private room, so we could eat comfortably without worrying about anyone around us.

I think this would work well for anyone looking for a group dinner spot around Gangnam or Sinnonhyeon.

The menu ranges from Korean beef to Jeju black pork, but the 600g Jeju thick-cut pork was so good that day we kept ordering it again and again.

The side menu was pretty varied too — beef chive rice with liquor, doenjang stew, dessert naengmyeon (cold noodles), plenty of things that pair well with grilled meat.

The Jeju thick-cut pork arrived soon after — a plate piled generously with meat, thick cuts scored densely with knife marks that looked delicious just by sight.

Thick-cut pork, grilled by the staff themselves

The best part was that staff grilled it for us directly!

Thick cuts like this can easily end up burnt outside or dry from overcooking, but here they grilled each piece according to how it looked, so all we had to do was wait comfortably and eat haha.

The staff were also really kind, checking on the doneness throughout, which made it easy to keep chatting and eating comfortably as a group.

Savory even with just a dip of salt

They cut the nicely browned meat into bite-sized pieces — the outside properly seared, the inside still juicy, so one bite in and the savoriness hit right away.

The chewy texture unique to Jeju thick-cut pork was great too, and even though it was thick it wasn't tough at all, so I kept reaching for more.

You can dip it in salt, wasabi, or ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste) depending on your taste, but personally, since the meat itself was so good, a light touch of salt was the best way to eat it!

Especially the cuts with just the right amount of fat — the more you chewed, the more savory and juicy they got, perfect with drinks haha.

The soju-and-beer mix went down smooth...

It stayed nice and warm cut into easy bites right on the grill throughout, and eating it alongside side dishes like green onion kimchi, geotjeori, and baek-kimchi (white kimchi) kept things from feeling heavy, so I kept eating.

Above all, since the staff grilled it for us, we weren't busy tending the grill and could just enjoy the meal while chatting comfortably, which I really liked.
