Staff-pick Twist Mix Wunder Gato set, 12,000 won: Songdo café, Incheon
In short
Wunder Coffee Bar Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo Branch is a coffee brand from Yeokgok in Bucheon, now inside the Food Square on basement level 1 of the Songdo outlet in Yeonsu, Incheon. On a running-shoe shopping trip I ordered the Wunder Gato and Americano set for 12,000 won and, instead of hojicha or vanilla, chose the Twist Mix that staff recommend to first-timers. The top of the Wunder Gato drinks like an affogato and the bottom like a latte, and going back and forth between the two is what makes it fun.

I went to the Songdo outlet to buy running shoes! Songdo really is for shopping, but since I made it all the way here, I couldn't skip the food shopping, could I!? There turned out to be quite a few good eats inside the outlet. Among them, I stopped by Wunder Coffee Bar, which everyone says is a must-try.
It's a brand that started in Bucheon Yeokgok, and apparently it's now opened in the basement of the Songdo outlet. Makes you wonder just how good it must be to get a spot there.

Where is Wunder Coffee Bar in the Songdo outlet, and which entrance do you use?
Wunder Coffee Bar Songdo is inside the outlet's basement Food Square, and it wasn't hard to find. Go into the food court area, take the alley on the far left, and it's right at the entrance among the shops on the right. Just walk a little further in past the Gong Cha store and you'll spot it right away.

Songdo outlet parking: on weekends, spending 10,000 won pays for itself
Parking is free on weekdays, but on weekends a fee kicks in after 30 minutes. However, if you spend 10,000 won or more in-store, you get 3 hours free — so if you're shopping more than 30 minutes on a weekend, you're better off just spending the 10,000 won. Walking around that long drains your energy and makes you crave caffeine anyway, so filling up here while sorting out parking at the same time felt perfect.

The interior was clean, and the store had a nice hygienic feel overall.

The menu was more varied than I expected, but having a set menu made choosing easy.

Why I chose Twist Mix from the three Wunder Gato flavors
We paid 12,000 won for the Wunder Gato + Americano set. For the Wunder Gato, you have to choose between hojicha, vanilla, or the blend. When I asked what was most popular, they said hojicha is the bestseller. But they said they usually recommend Twist Mix to first-timers, so I went with the Twist Mix!

There were quite a few orders ahead of us, so I think we waited about ten minutes.

Wunder Coffee Bar has no seats: where to sit with your Wunder Gato
The rest area we ended up using in the Food Square
Wunder Coffee at the Songdo outlet has no seating of its own, so you have to use the nearby rest area. Go straight and then turn right, and you'll find a rest area with a pretty, café-like atmosphere.

How the Twist Mix Wunder Gato tastes: affogato on top, latte at the bottom
Finally got to taste it — the hojicha aroma was mixed with just the right amount of vanilla, so it tasted like green tea with a hint of vanilla, a novel combination. The structure of the drink was fun too. The top is ice cream, so you can eat it like an affogato with a spoon, and as you go down it turns into more of a latte to drink.

Scooping up the ice cream with a spoon first, it melts smoothly and softly in your mouth,
and then drinking through the straw, the rich coffee and milk blend in naturally. It's one cup but feels like enjoying both an affogato and a latte, so I kept going back and forth between the top and bottom.
The Americano had a slight acidity but nothing too strong. Overall it went down smoothly and was comfortable to drink.

Who Wunder Coffee Bar in Songdo is best for
- Anyone needing a sugar boost while shopping — ordering the set keeps it affordable
- Couples looking for a date spot — it photographs well and won't break the bank
- Anyone who wants to enjoy ice cream and coffee at once — isn't that the biggest fun of it all!?
Next time, we're planning to come back and try the Dwaejibar ice cream.
