Deokmi Atelier Gwang-an Branch is set up in a house-shaped space, so it has a cozier feel than your typical café. The exterior alone has great atmosphere, making it a good spot for photos too! If you're looking for a quiet Gwangalli café to spend some relaxed time in, I think it's well worth stopping by.

Inside the renovated house: European mood and the sunlit seats
Step inside and you're greeted by a warm, European feel. It's comfortable and cozy overall, so it's great for sitting and chatting for a long time, and I liked that the shop wasn't noisy but rather quiet — it's a Gwangalli café with great atmosphere, haha.

One section in particular has really beautiful natural light coming in, and I loved how the sunshine spilled across it. It's a space that suits relaxed conversation on a date, so I think it's a great café to visit as part of a Gwangalli date course.

What's on the menu at Deokmi Atelier, and what we ordered
Looking at the menu, there was a wide variety of drinks along with cakes and various desserts. In particular, Deokmi Atelier has some fresh and unique menu items you can only find here, so it was fun just choosing. Among the signature drinks were the Royal Vanilla Bean Latte and Rose Thé Noir — both caught my eye, but I went with the Rose Thé Noir, which seemed a bit more special that day. 😊

There were quite a lot of cake options too, and I liked that they were displayed so you could see the real thing and choose in person. If you love dessert, this could be a Gwangalli dessert spot worth remembering!! 💛
📋 Ordered — Iced café latte ₩6,000 / Rose Thé Noir (milk tea) ₩6,500 / Crème brûlée French toast ₩13,000 / Fig-earl grey tiramisu ₩12,800
Crème brûlée French toast, 13,000 won

The first thing we ordered was the crème brûlée French toast! The menu said it uses brioche, a French bread that's known for being soft and rich thanks to the butter and eggs in the dough. Maybe that's why the French toast itself was so fluffy. 👍🏻

Even though the bread was thick, the inside was moist and soft, and it was topped with a torched crème brûlée layer, cinnamon powder, and maple syrup. The subtle cinnamon aroma in particular was really lovely.

Cut it well and take a big bite, and you get a soft, sweet flavor all at once — this is definitely a combo to eat with coffee! If you like sweet desserts, I think this French toast in Gwangalli would satisfy you a lot.
Fig and earl grey tiramisu, 12,800 won

Figs are in season these days, so I couldn't not order the fig-earl grey tiramisu. Fresh seasonal figs are beautifully placed on top, and underneath there are layers of soft cake sheet, fig jam, and earl grey cream all coming together, haha.

The figs themselves were so sweet and delicious that I'd recommend taking the first bite of just the fig alone, without mixing it with the other ingredients.

This cake combined the sweetness of the fig with the subtle aroma of the earl grey cream, making for a smooth, enjoyable tiramisu. The fig-and-earl-grey combination really worked well together.
Iced café latte, 6,000 won

The iced café latte had a good balance of nutty milk and espresso, which made it a great pairing with the sweet French toast.

The nutty flavor was strong while the bitter coffee notes came through gently. It was exactly the kind of taste that pairs well with dessert.
Rose Thé Noir, the signature milk tea, 6,500 won
And then, the drink I was most curious about that day — Rose Thé Noir! It's described as a handmade milk tea infused with a subtle rose fragrance, and when I actually tried it, the rose scent wasn't overpowering at all — it came through gently and blended naturally with the milk tea.
What I liked most of all was the sweetness level. It wasn't too sweet, but it wasn't bland either — it hit just the right, pleasant spot, which I personally found satisfying. Adding a subtle rose fragrance to a regular milk tea made it feel distinctly different, with a character all its own — Deokmi Atelier's own signature, haha! If you enjoy drinks with a bit of character, this is worth ordering at least once when you visit this Gwangalli café.
Is Deokmi Atelier worth a stop on a Gwangalli date course?
Deokmi Atelier Gwang-an Branch is a Gwangalli café where you can leisurely enjoy delicious desserts and distinctive drinks in a warm, European atmosphere. It's quiet and comfortable, making it a great spot to visit for a Gwangalli date or when you want to spend some relaxed café time. The combination of French toast and Rose Thé Noir was especially memorable, so it's a Gwangalli café I'd like to visit again to try other desserts.
