Songdo outlet café stop with a baby: Wunder Coffee Bar, Incheon

I end up checking in at the Songdo Hyundai outlet at least one day every weekend! This weekend too, I went and stopped by the outlet's basement-level food court hotspot Wunder Coffee Bar for a tasty dessert in the middle of shopping.

Wunder Coffee Bar was already super famous in Bucheon, so I'd heard they opened a Songdo location and was curious — after trying it myself, I got why it's so popular ꙳⸌(ᵒ͈̑ᴗ̂ᵒ͈̑ )

Where is Wunder Coffee Bar in Songdo outlet, and where do you park?

Wunder Coffee Bar is located inside the Food Square on the basement level of the Songdo Premium Hyundai Outlet. Just walk past Gong Cha and head inside. For parking, use the Hyundai outlet parking lot — you can also register your parking at the store! The Songdo outlet is also connected to Technopark Station on the subway, so access is great (ง •̅ ▽ •̅ )ว

Why Wunder Coffee Bar works for a coffee break with a baby

Since Wunder Coffee Bar sits in the basement food court of the Songdo outlet, it's easy to stop for a quick coffee or dessert mid-shop. It's also located right next to the baby snacks mart I visit every single weekend! (lol)

On days I'm out with my baby, it's so convenient to have a place where I can eat something simple and rest without going far — right within the shopping route.. (๑˙ꄃ˙๑)♡⃛

After ordering, you're free to grab any seat in the shared Food Square area and enjoy your dessert.

Wunder Coffee Bar menu and choosing your ice cream

This is Wunder Coffee Bar's full menu. Apparently they're known for their affogato and their ice cream kaimak. For the affogato, you get to choose the ice cream on top from:

• Hojicha ice cream
• Vanilla
• Hojicha and vanilla mixed

You pick one of the three. I went with the Wunder Gato topped with the nutty hojicha ice cream.

How does the hojicha Wunder Gato at 7,500 won taste?

➰ Hojicha ice cream Wunder Gato Hojicha is green tea roasted a second time, so it has less astringency than regular green tea and a strong, nutty flavor and aroma unique to roasted tea! The hojicha ice cream adds sweetness on top of that, reborn into a flavor pretty much anyone can enjoy without complaint!

The strong espresso shot meeting the nutty-sweet hojicha ice cream turned out to be a surprisingly perfect match ‎꒰ ᐢ｡o̶̶̷ ·̫ o̶̶̷｡ᐢ ꒱ The temperature contrast between the cold ice cream and hot espresso, and the tangled interplay of nutty, sweet, and bitter — it was wild.

The hojicha ice cream on top can also be enjoyed as a standalone item — it's dense and chewy, so if you don't drink coffee, it seems like it'd be great on its own too.

I ate it as ice cream first, then gently stirred it with a straw to mix in the espresso — so good. ദ്ദി ՞• ·̫ •՞ ꒱

Dwaejibar ice cream, 6,800 won: a spot-on copy of the original

The other thing I ordered was the Dwaejibar ice cream. Just as the name says, this is the exact Dwaejibar (a classic Korean ice cream bar) we all know — a 100% match. Lolololol.

Chewy vanilla ice cream mixed with the Dwaejibar's strawberry syrup and crunchy chocolate topping is reborn as a premium version of Dwaejibar! (ﾉﾞ⌯'⌄'⌯)ﾉﾞ* A familiar flavor, but a noticeably upgraded quality — this Dwaejibar was delicious too 🍦

Wunder Coffee Bar Songdo: the verdict

Wunder Coffee Bar became famous at its flagship in Yeokgok, Bucheon, and has now opened a location all the way in Songdo. Trying it myself, I thought, 'there's a reason it's famous' ( *❛ᴗ❛* ) If you're shopping at the Songdo outlet and want to take a break with a cup of coffee, or you're craving a slightly special affogato, I'd recommend stopping by.
