How the timer grilling works, and how the gopchang tasted

The system at Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Bangi Direct Branch was really convenient. After the first grilling, they set a timer on the table and step away. When the timer goes off, staff come back and grill it again, so we didn't have to worry about anything — just eat.

They grill the gopchang and daechang right on top of bean sprouts, and watching them cook while picking up that smoky char made my mouth water before I'd even taken a bite.

Everyone gets their own dipping sauce with minced garlic, chili flakes, and minari (water dropwort) — this was genuinely the kicker. Dipping the gopchang in this sauce made it totally not greasy.

Seasoned minari and cham-namul (aster herb) side dishes come out too, perfect for cleansing the palate between bites of meat.

They said the kimchi is house-made, and when we asked for more, they gave generously.

The steamed egg custard comes free, and it was so soft and delicious that my chopsticks kept going back to it between bites of meat.

The fully cooked gopchang and daechang looked amazing too — packed with fat, so every bite had a burst of nuttiness.

We finished with the kkakdugi garlic fried rice, and it was truly a standout dish. The crunchy kkakdugi (radish kimchi), pickled garlic, and oil-scented rice came together so well that I didn't miss regular fried rice at all.

Between the fresh beef gopchang and daechang and the timer system that made grilling effortless, this was a highly satisfying visit. If you're looking for a good restaurant in Bangi-dong — especially if you love gopchang — I confidently recommend Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Bangi Direct Branch!
