Hi everyone. This is our life these days 🤍

Our baby's bedtime has been getting later and later lately 🥲 Today we only played at home during the day, so I figured we should go out for dinner somewhere haha

So while looking for somewhere to take the baby, I found Hets Jeonpo Branch, a tonkatsu place that's hot in Jeonpo-dong right now 👀! Since they had a baby chair, I quickly grabbed the baby and headed over 👶🏻🤍 Let me give you my honest review of whether it was actually okay to go with a baby 〰️

Walking into Hets Jeonpo the minute break time ended at 17:00

As soon as we walked in, the interior felt stylish yet clean, and I liked that haha. We were the very first ones in, right as break time ended ~

Since we're out and about with a baby, it's easier for us to go whenever it's quiet, so we tend to time it for when there aren't many people and eat quickly haha

There's a separate waiting area, and they even have hangers and aprons ready — nice touch 〰️ They also sell Hets goods here. The pens and keyrings were cute 🍀

Ahh, a place with a baby chair really is the best… 👶🏻👏🏻 When you're out with a baby, places with a baby chair are always the most welcome haha. The staff kindly brought it right over! ☺️

We forgot to bring the baby chair cover today, so we quickly wrapped it in a blanket instead lol

I was wondering where to put our bag, and it turns out there's storage space under the chair for that! Little details like this feel like genuine consideration for customers, so I thought it was such a nice touch haha

What we ordered: Jeju black pork assorted katsu and YBD sang loin katsu

The menu 📖 We ordered the Jeju black pork assorted katsu and the YBD sang loin katsu. 🤔

Apparently Hets uses YBD 🐷 pork. Y (Yorkshire) + B (Berkshire) + D (Duroc) — pork from crossbreeding these three breeds. They say the Yorkshire's clean flavor, Berkshire's chewy texture, and Duroc's soft, nutty richness combine for a fairly rich meat flavor haha. So we were curious how it would taste and decided to dig in right away 🤭🥩

On the table there's whole black pepper, salad dressing, truffle oil, and wasabi to go with the meal haha. You can mix and match based on your taste, and I loved that thoughtful setup ..

Whoa, what's with the nice touches here .. 🫢 They even take song requests lol. Such a fun little detail 🎶

Good restaurants have to have rice water, right?

Jeju black pork assorted katsu tastes best with truffle oil

My husband's Jeju black pork assorted katsu was seriously delicious ..

Drizzled with truffle oil, yum

Sprinkled with black pepper, yum

Truffle oil, pepper, salt, mustard sauce, all of it lol. My husband said it tasted best with the truffle oil haha. But honestly no matter how you eat it, the outside was crispy and the meat inside was moist, with really good juiciness — we enjoyed it so much 🤤

How does the YBD sang loin katsu taste?

My order, the YBD sang loin katsu!!!! 🐷🤎 This was seriously delicious too… crispy outside, moist inside, the perfect crispy-on-the-outside-juicy-on-the-inside thing lol

I'm a tonkatsu lover and I've been to quite a few of the famous spots around Jeonpo-dong 👀, but this place was truly good…. Great meat flavor, and the texture was exactly my style, so it had been a while since I enjoyed tonkatsu this thoroughly 〰️

Silbi kimchi at Hets Jeonpo comes right away if you ask staff

Everyone~~~ they have silbi kimchi (fresh, non-fermented cabbage kimchi) here 🌶️ lol. If you want some, just ask the staff!!!! They bring it right over haha

Wow, eating the silbi kimchi with wasabi is seriously Heaven ☁️ Looking at the photo makes me want more…

With the evening weather turning cool lately, they had the window behind us open haha. With a light breeze coming in while we enjoyed the delicious tonkatsu, it just put me in an even better mood 🌿🍀

We gave our baby some wet wipes to play with and she waited for us so well!! 🤍 Such a good girl!!!!!! Our princess waited so nicely while mom and dad ate 👶🏻

Looking from the inside, the place is clean overall haha, and the space felt comfortable, so it was great for visiting with a baby 👶🏻🤍

My husband and I both properly indulged our tonkatsu cravings .. 😋 Who knew there was such a delicious tonkatsu spot in Jeonpo-dong haha. We ate so well and left completely stuffed 🐷✨

Respect service, restroom and parking at Hets Jeonpo

They've prepared small perks as a way of showing gratitude to those who serve our country. There's a service for police officers, national merit recipients, soldiers, and firefighters, as well as for high school seniors preparing for exams and pregnant women! This kind of respect service is so nice 👏🏻 It's a small gesture but it really warmed my heart haha

I checked the restroom before we left 🚻 It was clean and well maintained ~ Pass!

🅿️ There's no on-site parking, but you can use the Jeonpo Station public parking lot or a nearby paid lot! Show your parking ticket and they'll give you ₩1,000 off parking, apparently haha. Something to keep in mind if you're driving 🚗

Is Hets Jeonpo Branch worth it with a baby? Final verdict

Hets Jeonpo Branch was clean overall and the space felt comfortable, so it was good for visiting with a baby. Having the baby chair made things so much easier ~ having a baby chair definitely puts your mind at ease when eating out with a baby 👶🏻🤍

And most of all, the tonkatsu was genuinely delicious…! 🤤 Jeonpo-dong has quite a few good tonkatsu spots lol, but this one is seriously, truly delicious too 〰️ Even my husband, who's picky, said it was the best one on the way out ^^

There's a lot to think about when you bring a baby along, but it had been a while since we enjoyed tonkatsu this satisfying 🫶🏻 With the baby chair, we could eat comfortably, the staff were kind, and the tonkatsu was delicious — if you're looking for somewhere to eat with a baby in Jeonpo-dong, this Jeonpo tonkatsu spot Hets is worth a visit!
