While traveling around east Jeju, I was looking for somewhere to eat breakfast-slash-lunch and ended up at Myeonjumak, a pork noodle place well known among locals! It's a great spot to eat gogi guksu (pork noodle soup) made with Jeju black pork alongside dombe pork. If you're wondering where to get good gogi guksu in Jeju, check out today's review!
Where is Myeonjumak Jeju Main Branch, and is there parking?
Myeonjumak is within 10 minutes of famous sights like Eco Land, Saryeoni Forest Path, and Jeju Stone Park. If you're stuck on where to eat breakfast or lunch while touring the east side, Myeonjumak is a perfect fit! The parking lot right out front is really spacious too, so you don't need to worry even when it's busy.

Inside Myeonjumak: an easy dining room for families with kids
The inside of Myeonjumak felt set up so that everyone from kids to parents could eat comfortably. Beyond a baby chair, there was a kids' spoon and fork and even a microwave for warming baby food — thoughtful details. The space is quite large too, so it looks good for group visits, just so you know!

Myeonjumak menu and prices
What we ordered
- Pork noodle soup, double portion — ₩11,000
- Spicy pork bibim guksu — ₩10,000
- Dombe pork, half order — ₩18,000
There's also a good range of other dishes to suit different tastes, including dombe samhap (pork with conch and abalone), mandu (dumplings) in broth, gukbap (rice and soup), and abalone porridge. There's even free baby noodles for kids up to 36 months, which is especially nice for families visiting with little ones.

The basic side dishes are kimchi and kkakdugi (diced radish kimchi), and you can top up anything else at the self-serve bar. There's also anchovy broth you can serve yourself!

Right next to the table there's red pepper flakes, salt, pepper, and gim garu (crumbled seaweed) so you can adjust the seasoning to your taste.
How does the 24-hour bone broth pork noodle soup taste?
The broth at Myeonjumak is made by simmering Jeju bone broth for more than 24 hours. With all that time spent boiling it down, you really taste that rich, savory bone-broth flavor. On top of the noodles sits a topping of Jeju black pork. Eating the broth, noodles, and black pork together adds a nutty richness from the meat that makes for a filling meal!

If you're trying Jeju pork noodle soup for the first time, or looking for a warm noodle dish to start the day, this is an easy choice. The noodles are also wonderfully chewy and springy — so good!

What is Myeonjumak's pork bibim guksu like?
The seasoning on Myeonjumak's pork bibim guksu (spicy mixed noodles) was memorable — tangy and sweet up front, with a kick of spice following behind. It's a totally different charm from the brothy pork noodle soup, so the two dishes actually go really well together when eaten side by side.

The bibim guksu also comes topped with black pork, and I was surprised at how generously it was piled on. Eating the sauce-coated noodles together with the black pork gives you the best of both tangy-spicy and savory flavors! If you're stuck on where to get good gogi guksu in Jeju, solve it with a hearty meal at Myeonjumak.

Dombe pork, half order for 18,000 won
We also ordered the Jeju black pork dombe pork (sliced boiled pork served on a wooden board). Unlike the meat topping the noodles, this let the flavor and texture of the meat itself really shine. It kept the signature chewiness of black pork while staying tender inside, so it didn't feel tough at all.

It's tasty just eaten plain, but wrapping it in lettuce brings out a crunchy texture and makes for an even cleaner bite.

Is Myeonjumak Jeju Main Branch worth a stop?
Today I introduced Myeonjumak, a pork noodle spot in Jeju. From the rich-broth pork noodle soup to the tangy-spicy bibim guksu to the chewy-yet-tender dombe pork, each dish had its own appeal! With plenty of parking and various amenities for kids, it's worth keeping in mind if you're looking for a pork noodle restaurant to visit with family!
Hours are 09:00–15:00, with last order at 14:30, and the restaurant may close early if ingredients run out.
