Nambu Terminal chicken restaurant for kids: non-spicy Six Pack, Kkanbu
In short
Kkanbu Chicken Nambu Terminal Branch is a chicken restaurant in Seocho, Seoul, right in front of exit 1 of Nambu Terminal Station near the Seoul Arts Center, with outdoor tables set below the road for a night-market mood. On a weekend visit at 7pm with kids, the staff at Kkanbu Chicken recommended the non-spicy signature Six Pack and the Cajun potato. On a cool evening it suits a family chicken dinner outdoors very well.

On a weekend evening, I searched for chicken that even the kids would enjoy. Normally we'd just order delivery, but the evening breeze was cool and I felt like eating outside. So my family and I went to Kkanbu Chicken near Nambu Terminal Station. This is the chicken brand that Jensen Huang visited along with Chairman Lee Jae-yong and Chairman Chung Eui-sun, though I don't think I've ever ordered it for delivery.

Inside Kkanbu Chicken Nambu Terminal Branch: outdoor tables below the road
Kkanbu Chicken Nambu Terminal Branch sits slightly lower than the road, and outdoor tables are set up in that space to create a night-market feel. We arrived around 7pm; there was no wait, but every table was already full. Luckily a group was just finishing up and leaving, so we grabbed a seat right away. Being a weekend evening, there were families with kids scattered around too.
Indoors, the folding doors were wide open, connecting naturally to the outdoor space. This gave the interior an open, airy feel while still keeping that night-market atmosphere. The place is fairly large too, seating around 120, with room for group gatherings.

Celebrity autographs on the wall at the back of Kkanbu Chicken
And deep inside the restaurant, I found something interesting: several photos and signatures from Shinsegae Chairman Chung Yong-jin hanging on the wall. The owner told me that Chairman Chung's wife is a musician, and after her performances at the Seoul Arts Center, they sometimes rent out the whole place for an after-party.
Korea's real "Kkanbu" isn't Samseong-dong — it's "Nambu Terminal"
Such a witty line, very "Yongjin-hyung" of him. haha

What to order with kids: the Six Pack instead of garlic soy chicken
I originally thought about trying the garlic soy chicken, but looking at the Kkanbu Chicken menu board, it had two chili pepper icons next to it.

Since we'd be eating with the kids, I worried it might be too spicy, so I asked a staff member for a recommendation. They told me the Six Pack is the signature menu item and isn't spicy at all. So we ordered the Six Pack along with the Cajun potato.
How was the Cajun potato at Kkanbu Chicken?
The nutty popcorn snack and pickled radish came out first as complimentary sides,

and then the Cajun potato arrived. Hot and fried crispy, it was one of those addictive, keep-reaching-for-it kinds of flavors. It was salty, like a beer-snack menu item — it seemed like it would go perfectly with a beer, but with the kids around, we skipped the beer.

The signature Six Pack: three drumsticks and three wings
Today's main dish, the Six Pack, made its appearance! It had an old-school fried chicken vibe, with big chunky fried leg and wing pieces. The batter was thin and crispy, with moist meat inside. It came with three legs and three wings, and just as we went to pull off a piece each, it was way too hot, so we ended up using forks instead... haha. Freshly fried, it really was piping hot.

The Six Pack wasn't spicy at all, so the kids could eat it without any worries. It seems Kkanbu Chicken Nambu Terminal Branch doesn't do delivery — I didn't see a single delivery rider the whole time we were eating. If I ever order it for delivery at home, I think I'll try the boneless version instead, to skip the hassle of picking meat off the bone.
Location, parking and hours at Nambu Terminal Station exit 1
The location is very close to exit 1 of Nambu Terminal Station. Parking is available according to the sign outside, but it's best to check the parking method and fees with the restaurant before visiting. If you're planning to drive, I'd recommend calling ahead. The hours run late, until 2am, so it's a good option when you're craving late-night chicken too.
