How to get there and where to park

This spot near the Seoul Arts Center is only about a 2-minute walk from Exit 1 of Nambu Terminal Station on Line 3, so subway access is excellent. There's parking for those driving too — underground parking runs ₩9,000 an hour, so it's better to use the surface lot. If there's no space, they say you can just ask the staff.
Inside Kkanbu Chicken Nambu Terminal Branch: 120 seats

Kkanbu Chicken Nambu Terminal Branch has a clean exterior. Even from outside you could tell the interior was spacious, so I figured any wait would clear fast haha. The signboard out front also advertises a massive 120-seat capacity, which looked great for group gatherings or work dinners.

As expected from the outside, the interior was indeed very spacious. Plus there's a folding door installed, so on nice days you can open it up and eat with an outdoor-terrace kind of vibe.

Since we'd timed it with opening, we got to see the place empty, but about an hour later it was already half full. Definitely a hotspot near the Seoul Arts Center haha.

If you write a review via the QR code, you get a free glass of icy draft beer, so it's worth doing if you're interested.
Menu and what we ordered

- Spicy garlic boneless chicken ₩24,000
- Icy draft beer ₩5,500
- Dried pollock (meoktae) ₩18,000
I'd barely ever ordered from Kkanbu Chicken before, so not knowing what to get, I just went with whatever caught my eye — the crispy curry boneless chicken, the spicy garlic boneless chicken, and dried pollock, in that order.
Crispy curry boneless chicken, 24,000 won

The first chicken we tried was the crispy curry boneless chicken. A mouth-watering sight right away.

On top of the already-crispy chicken was some kind of lightly fried curry powder that added extra crunch, and there was a generous portion of fries too — perfect as beer food.

The outside was really crispy, and biting in, the inside was juicy with visible grain in the meat, which made me think they use good chicken. I was a little worried at first about whether curry and chicken would go together, but it worked way better than expected, cutting through the greasiness nicely — really tasty.

The fries came with two kinds of sauce, so you could mix it up, and they arrived hot, which made them the kind of tasty that calls for beer haha.
Spicy handmade garlic boneless chicken, a Nambu Terminal Branch exclusive

We'd already eaten quite a lot at lunch and were fairly full, but the chicken was so good we ordered the spicy garlic boneless chicken anyway haha. This menu item is apparently only available at Kkanbu Chicken Nambu Terminal Branch.

Since I love garlic, this was the perfect dish for us. Unlike the curry chicken, this one had a texture closer to karaage, cut into bite-sized pieces, and there was plenty of sauce underneath to dip generously, which I really liked.
Meoktae (dried pollock) and icy draft beer

Even though we'd already eaten lunch, this is such a great place for drinking snacks that we kept ordering haha. Next up was the dried pollock, which was nice and crispy and really tasty. This place is a black hole that keeps pulling you into ordering more beer.

Even though it's late summer, the heat hadn't quite let up, so the cold draft beer went down easily, glass after glass haha.
Is Kkanbu Chicken Nambu Terminal Branch worth it?
We found Kkanbu Chicken Nambu Terminal Branch while trying to figure out where to go for round two after lunch with friends haha. It's a chicken restaurant that's held down this spot for 12 years, which gave it a certain sense of trust, and the batter and meat both looked very clean, like they use good oil. They also seem to run an outdoor terrace, so I plan to visit that next! If you're looking for a good restaurant near the Seoul Arts Center or a chicken restaurant near Nambu Terminal Station, Kkanbu Chicken Nambu Terminal Branch is worth a visit.
