Jeju City café with big parking near Woojin Haejangguk: Dobana
In short
Dobana is a large tea house café on Seosa-ro in Jeju City, close to Jeju Airport and the hangover soup restaurant Woojin Haejangguk. Dobana has a wide private parking lot, so there was no wait for a spot, and the order came to an iced americano and a decaf iced americano at 4,500 won each plus an ang-butter salt bread (salt bread filled with sweet red bean paste and butter) at 4,200 won, enjoyed at a window seat. For killing time in the Woojin Haejangguk line, or for a quiet big café near the airport on the first or last day of a Jeju trip, Dobana is the answer.

While looking for a café near Jeju Airport, I found Dobana, a large café right next to Woojin Haejangguk (hangover soup restaurant), and went to check it out. Woojin Haejangguk is a must-stop at the start or end of any Jeju trip! It's so famously long a wait that I was worried about how to pass the time, and Dobana turned out to be a legendary place to do just that.

Parking at Dobana: why it's easy even near Jeju Airport
The parking lot at Dobana is genuinely huge, so the moment I parked I felt instantly relieved. Around Jeju Airport and the Yongdam-dong area, parking is usually tight and waiting for a spot can be a hassle. Even nervous drivers can visit here without any parking worries at all — it's ideally set up for that.

Inside Dobana: a big wood-toned café that feels like a gallery
Stepping inside Dobana, rather than feeling like an ordinary café, the calm, tasteful interior catches your eye like you've walked into an upscale gallery. The space itself is big and open, so the tables are set far apart and there's no sense of being cramped at all. I really enjoyed slowly looking around while sipping my tea.

It's styled in a heavy yet luxurious deep wood tone, so as a self-proclaimed 'wood-loving human' who loves that timber sensibility, this was the perfect space for my taste — completely!

Dobana's salt bread: a real salt bread, properly salted
My sister and I are both salt bread lovers, and Dobana's salt bread looked legit at first glance.

These days so many things called 'salt bread' are actually just butter rolls or dinner rolls, but here it was a genuinely crispy salt bread with just the right saltiness!

I couldn't resist and picked out an ang-butter salt bread to eat the next morning as breakfast.

What we ordered at Dobana and what it cost
That day, we picked out coffee and dessert to settle our stomachs lightly and take a break before eating a real meal.
- Iced Americano ₩4,500
- Decaf Iced Americano ₩4,500
- Ang-butter Salt Bread ₩4,200
Decaf was among the standard bean options, so it seemed like there was no extra charge for it? Totally great.

Even though it's a large café near Jeju Airport, the americano was priced at a very reasonable ₩4,500, which was satisfying right off the bat!

Wait, there were even more kinds of bread..?

The cakes were also round and adorable-looking.

Dobana's tea bar and the reservation-only meeting room 'Doban-ui Jeongwon'
Dobana also has a private tea house bar vibe to it,

and on one side there's an independent meeting space called 'Doban-ui Jeongwon' (도반의 정원), available by advance reservation.

Even the room names are taken one by one from the 24 solar terms, which gave the place a much more emotional and layered atmosphere. Seeing people actually holding meetings inside looked so intellectual and cool — it left a real impression on me!

Iced americano and decaf at a Dobana window seat
We settled into seats by the window.

The iced americano had a rich, nutty bean flavor that was perfect for a clean, refreshing sip.

The decaf iced americano too had none of the blandness or off-flavor that decaf can sometimes have — the bright, deep coffee aroma was fully intact, so even people sensitive to caffeine could enjoy a genuinely delicious cup!

The ang-butter salt bread, eaten the next morning
Even though I ate it the next morning, the outside was golden and crispy while the inside kept its true salt bread texture — chewy and moist. The thick, fragrant, soft butter sandwiched inside, along with the moderately sweet red bean paste, blended with the salt's savoriness to show a textbook example of perfect sweet-and-salty balance. The more you chewed, the more the buttery richness came through, and the pairing with the americano was absolutely fantastic!

The consistency of the concept and world-building throughout the whole space was really impressive.

Even the bathroom was finished neatly in sleek, elegant green tile, and I couldn't help but admire how perfectly the brand's world stayed consistent all the way through.

Why Dobana is the café to pick during the Woojin Haejangguk wait
If you're looking for a pleasant place to spend time during the wait at Woojin Haejangguk, or want a quiet, gallery-like large café near the airport on the first or last day of your Jeju trip, I strongly recommend Dobana! With spacious parking, a tidy atmosphere, and reasonably priced coffee and desserts, it's a spot you definitely won't regret.
