Jongno theater with an over-the-top adult play: Nine Theater

Today I’m writing up my visit to see <Suspicious PT Shop>, an insanely high-level adults-only play in Daehangno—not just 19+, more like 69+! It’s Suspicious PT Shop, which I highly, highly recommend as a Daehangno theater pick too, hehe.

Finding Nine Theater from Hyehwa Station

Daehangno is basically the holy land of theater, right? Come out of Exit 1 at Hyehwa Station and walk straight in, and you’ll find Nine Theater (나인 씨어터)! If you’re seeing Suspicious PT Shop, this is where you need to come.

The signs are clear, so just keep following them! Unlike other plays, the theater entrance and ticket pickup area are in the same place.

Before Suspicious PT Shop, apparently there was a play called Suspicious Hair Salon. That’s why there were hair-salon-related props around, haha. I didn’t get to see Suspicious Hair Salon, which was a shame...

Right beside it, there’s a set prepared for Suspicious PT Shop, hehe. I was already wondering what on earth would happen at this PT gym, lol.

Ticket pickup area and discounts

Walk farther inside and you’ll reach the place where you can pick up or buy tickets. It was spacious and nicely set up like a café! It would be such a nice place to sit and rest for a bit before the play.

Please refer to the photo for ticket prices! You might think it’s a little pricey for a play, but considering the quality and the discounts, I thought it was really reasonable. Couples can get a discount too, so it seems perfect for partners or married couples, haha.

A gym-like stage and audience seats

I got my ticket! My seat was assigned near the front. You know plays get even more fun the closer you are to the front, right?

The stage was decorated so well that it really felt like stepping into a gym!

I took a ticket proof shot, haha. The play runs at 7 PM on Monday, Thursday, and Friday; 3 PM and 6 PM on Saturday; and 3 PM and every other week at 6 PM on Sunday, so keep that in mind!

When theater seats are uncomfortable, it’s hard to concentrate no matter how fun the show isㅠㅠ But every seat at Nine Theater is a proper theater chair, so you can watch comfortably all the way through!

Just how intense was Suspicious PT Shop?

Suspicious PT Shop had adult actors on stage, so the acting felt realistic and the intensity was huge! For anyone curious about the level, I’ll only say a tiny bit without spoiling anything... Whatever you imagine, they show you even more, lol. I really think it would be great for people in long-term relationships and married couples.
