Looking for a light meal on a Changwon trip

I stopped by Why Starve Diet Changwon Metro Centum Branch while looking for something not too heavy to eat during my Changwon trip. When traveling, you end up eating all sorts of delicious things, so sometimes you just want one light meal, you know? So this time I decided to get a Changwon salad to go and eat it at a nearby park.

Orange sign, white-toned shop: what Why Starve Diet looks like

The store's orange interior stood out, so I could spot the sign from far away. Inside, it was decorated cleanly in white tones, giving off a bright, modern feel overall. There were also tables for eating in, so it looked fine for a solo visit and a simple meal.

How does the kiosk menu at Why Starve Diet work?

Ordering at Why Starve Diet Changwon Metro Centum Branch is done via kiosk, and looking through the menu, there were more choices than I expected.

For the main, you can choose between chicken, smoked duck, salmon, and beef, and for the side/base you can pick from pasta, tofu noodles, oat rice, cauliflower rice, or vegetables. On top of that, you can also choose a sauce to your taste — there were several flavors like teriyaki, wasabi mayo, and sriracha mayo, so I could order whatever combination I wanted.

They're also running a Naver receipt review event, so it might be worth checking before you order if you're visiting.

Two salads packed to go

Since I was planning to eat at a nearby park that day, I packed two menu items to go.

Two protein boxes laid out at the park

What I ordered

Composition of the ordered protein box menus

Chicken Light Protein Box, 287kcal and 44g protein

Chicken Light Protein Box! (287kcal / 44g protein) It had steamed chicken breast, chickpeas, lettuce, green beans, broccoli, bell pepper, olives, onion flakes, and more.

I chose vegetables for the side too, and probably because the vegetable ratio was high, it was definitely a light, easy-to-eat combo. When you're traveling and eating snacks and meals here and there, your stomach can feel a bit heavy sometimes — a Changwon salad menu like this is great for keeping one meal clean and light.

Smoked Duck Oat Protein Box, the more filling box

Smoked Duck Oat Protein Box! (646kcal / 33g protein) It was a bit more filling than the Chicken Light Protein Box. It included smoked duck and chickpeas, along with lettuce, green beans, broccoli, bell pepper, olives, onion flakes, and more.

Salad with smoked duck and oat rice together

The vegetables that go into the salad seemed to be a common set across menus, and if there's an ingredient you don't eat, you can ask to have it left out when ordering. I chose oats for the base since I wanted something more filling. If you feel a vegetable-only salad is a bit lacking, adding oat rice or tofu noodles should make it hearty enough for a full meal.

Eating the Changwon salad meal at the park

Is Why Starve Diet worth it for a light meal in Changwon?

What I liked was being able to choose the main, base, and sauce myself, so you can pick whatever combination you're in the mood for that day. It would also work well for anyone else looking for a light meal during a Changwon trip, or an easy solo dining option. The clean store atmosphere makes it good for eating in, but taking it to go and eating it at a park or your accommodation, like I did, works well too. If you're looking for a healthy meal in Changwon, give Why Starve Diet Changwon Metro Centum Branch a try — a Changwon salad menu you can mix and match to your taste :)
