Katsu Shokudo Pangyo Main Branch
Getting there from Pangyo Station

I wanted to introduce Katsu Shokudo Pangyo Main Branch, famous as a Pangyo lunch spot ☺️. It's located in the basement of Alphadom Tower 3, right across from Pangyo Hyundai Department Store. It's within a 3-minute walk from exit 3 of Pangyo Station on the Shinbundang and Gyeonggang lines, so it's really convenient by public transport. If you drive, you can park in the building's basement lot. Katsu Shokudo Pangyo Main Branch, a well-known spot near Pangyo Hyundai Department Store, is also a Blue Ribbon-rated restaurant, so I walked in with high expectations 😆
Inside the restaurant and seating

Inside Katsu Shokudo Pangyo Main Branch, which I really recommend as a Pangyo lunch spot, there were 2-, 4-, and 6-person tables, and the restaurant is run in a spacious, clean way. It's great for visits with a partner, friends, or family gatherings, and also works well for Pangyo office workers stopping by for lunch or dinner.

At Katsu Shokudo Pangyo Main Branch, which does tonkatsu really well, writing a Naver receipt review gets you one try at a memory lucky draw event. There are no losing tickets, so since you're already there, don't forget to write a Naver receipt review and grab your gift too 😃

The menu lineup

Let me introduce the variety of menu items at Katsu Shokudo Pangyo Main Branch, famous as a Pangyo lunch spot 😏. For the main tonkatsu dishes, there's loin katsu, hire katsu (fillet cutlet), assorted katsu, mozzarella cheese katsu, and more, and if you order a set meal, udon or cold soba comes with it. For rice bowls, there's loin katsu don, hire katsu don, and mixed katsu don. They also have Japanese curry, nabe (hot pot), udon, and soba, so you can pick whatever suits your mood.

The best order to eat your tonkatsu
Katsu Shokudo Pangyo Main Branch, famous as a Pangyo lunch spot, actually has a suggested way to enjoy the tonkatsu. First, take a bite of the cutlet plain, then dip it in Himalayan pink salt, then try it with yuzu wasabi — that way you get to enjoy three completely different flavors 👍 Also, don't forget that ordering one menu item per person gets you unlimited refills on rice, salad, and soup.
Hire Katsu (fillet cutlet), ₩16,000

Hire Katsu / ₩16,000
At Katsu Shokudo Pangyo Main Branch, which I highly recommend as a Pangyo lunch spot, I ordered the hire katsu on its own. The outside was fried perfectly crispy, and the inside, made with pork tenderloin, was moist — the piece was thick and looked really appetizing. It came with a bowl of rice, a light soup, and salad, plus a side of curry sauce, and I figured mixing that sauce into the rice would be delicious beyond words 🍛

Dipping the crispy, moist hire katsu into the tonkatsu sauce was delicious — sweet and savory flavor hit my mouth while I could still taste both the crunch and the moisture 😋 Eating it together with the spicy, appetite-stirring curry sauce and rice tasted almost exactly like eating Japanese curry.

Loin Katsu Don, ₩14,000
Loin Katsu Don / ₩14,000
At Katsu Shokudo Pangyo Main Branch, famous as a restaurant near Pangyo Hyundai Department Store, my husband ordered the loin katsu don. He said he was craving a tonkatsu rice bowl that day, so he got the loin katsu don — crispy fried loin katsu on top of seasoned white rice, with a thick, runny egg poured over everything 🍳 It had its own charm, different from the hire katsu, and my husband finished every last bite. I'd recommend visiting Katsu Shokudo Pangyo Main Branch, a well-known Blue Ribbon-rated spot for Pangyo lunch, and eating your fill of delicious tonkatsu and tonkatsu rice bowls 🙌
