Packed jambon jalapeño coffee set for lunch: Dance Dance Dance

In short

Dance Dance Dance Seoul Station is a baguette sandwich brunch spot on B3 of Grand Central near Seoul Station. The writer packed a jambon jalapeño sandwich coffee set for 15,400 won and a chocolate chip scone for 4,400 won to eat at the office and at home, and even after time passed, the baguette stayed crispy outside and the scone kept its crunch. Seats disappear fast at lunch, so takeout is the realistic move.

This is a place I'd wanted to visit for a while just because the packaging looked so good. It's already famous as an office worker lunch spot and it's also great if you're watching what you eat — on weekdays, if you're even a little late for lunch, there's no seat left at Dance Dance Dance Seoul Station, so takeout is basically the move.

Exterior & interior vibe

It's located on B3 of Grand Central, and even the shop logo has such a nice aesthetic, right?! Since it's in an open space, it was easy to spot the shop at a glance.

Can you get a seat at lunchtime?

Since it's an open space, you can't really call it "indoors," but there are quite a lot of tables in front of the shop. That said, come lunchtime, not just Grand Central workers but nearby office workers show up in huge numbers, so if you're even a little late, there's no seat left (I've failed every single time).

If you want to sit down and eat, I recommend going a bit earlier than lunchtime!! Now that the weather's getting cooler, it might also be nice to pack it and eat at Namsan or Mallijae-gil park!

These aren't your regular sliced-bread sandwiches — they're all made with baguette! I love baguette so much I wanted to try everything, but I went with the signature menu item this time.

Even in photos the baguette looks geotbasokjjol (crispy outside, chewy inside). And if you show proof of a run, you get a coffee discount too — go ahead and use it!!

Takeout order: jambon jalapeño sandwich coffee set

I packed it to eat while working, and just looking at the takeout cup, the aesthetic is overflowing (that font is so full of vibe).

A packed set full of aesthetic. The packaging was neat and the container was sturdy, so it was really good to eat at the office or anywhere else!

Okay, first, the baguette gets a passing medal. It was exactly as crispy-outside-chewy-inside as it looked earlier. When you make a sandwich with baguette, if you're not careful it goes soggy and just gets tough, but this one stayed crispy outside and chewy inside even after time passed — genuinely delicious.

And the jambon paired with what seemed like a cream-mayo-based sauce — something that could easily get greasy — but the sharp, spicy kick of the jalapeño balanced it out perfectly, so I ate the whole thing without ever feeling sick of it, all crunchy and delicious!! If you dislike greasy sandwiches, I recommend this one!!

Takeout order: chocolate chip scone

I got the chocolate chip scone because a staff member recommended it as a bestseller, and yeah, this scone passes too haha. It was so good my husband stole it all from me..🙃 I ate it after getting home, and even though quite a bit of time had passed, it still had that crunchy texture, and above all, it's absolutely packed with chocolate chips!!! Not one of those scones with chips scattered sparsely here and there~ It goes great with coffee, and I'd also totally recommend eating the scone alone when your blood sugar drops!

Overall verdict

The crispy-outside, chewy-inside baguette combined with the saltiness of the jambon + that mayo-ish sauce + jalapeño was such a great combo!! The chocolate chip scone was also loaded with chips, so it was great as a coffee-and-dessert pairing. I skipped the soup this time worried about being too full, but next time I'll definitely get the soup too!! (Everyone around me seemed to order a soup each)

Great for office worker lunches, brunch, and eating light while watching your diet — Dance Dance Dance Seoul Station has that aesthetic feel down to the packaging and the font. If you're looking for a simple but delicious lunch or brunch near Seoul Station, I recommend it!!
