Dongtan pork BBQ with myeongi namul wraps and gabrisal: Gogigaondang
In short
Gogigaondang Dongtan Branch is a cauldron-lid pork belly restaurant in Bansong-dong, Dongtan, in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi. The writer ordered antibiotic-free raw ogyeopsal (five-layer pork belly) and hangjeongsal (pork jowl), then added gabrisal (pork neck collar) because it tasted so good, and a staff member grilled everything from start to finish and cut it into bite-size pieces for the baby. For a family looking for somewhere relaxed to eat grilled pork with a baby, Gogigaondang Dongtan Branch became their new regular spot.

I'm actually a total meat lover, haha. Pork belly, thick-cut pork belly, pork jowl — I love it all. But once I became a mom, eating meat at a BBQ restaurant with a baby turned out to be way harder than I expected. I have to take care of Yoona's food, watch out for the hot grill, and by the time I'm also grilling the meat, sometimes I honestly don't even know if the food is going into my mouth or my nose. T.T
So this time I found a really solid Bansong-dong restaurant that's great to visit with a baby, and I want to introduce it to fellow parents. It's Gogigaondang Dongtan Branch, with such a cute name too. The meat being delicious is a given, but the biggest thing is that a staff member grills the meat for you the whole time! For parents who go to BBQ restaurants with a baby, that alone is a huge plus, haha. Thanks to that, I got to properly take care of Yoona while still eating warm meat comfortably, for the first time in a while.
So here's my honest review of Gogigaondang for anyone looking for cauldron-lid pork belly in Dongtan. Let's go!
Where is Gogigaondang Dongtan Branch, and is there parking?

Gogigaondang is located in Bansong-dong. What caught my eye from the outside was the sign saying they use herb-fed pork. It's also apparently listed in the 2025 SBS Michelin Guide, so I was already a little excited about the meat before even going in. :)
And when eating out with a baby, parking is subtly a huge deal. There's space for about five cars in front of the restaurant, so we got to park right in front and walk straight in — no need to carry the baby far. That was great too.

Inside Gogigaondang Dongtan Branch and the baby chairs
Once inside, Gogigaondang was much more spacious than I expected. What I liked most was that the whole place felt really well maintained and clean. When you go out to eat with a kid, taste matters but so does the cleanliness of the tables, floor and overall space, and this place was quite satisfying on that front too. The tables weren't cramped, which made it comfortable to sit and eat with Yoona, and of course baby chairs were ready :)!

Ordering antibiotic-free ogyeopsal and pork jowl
You order using the kiosk at each table. There was a lunch special menu, but... I was someone who wanted meat starting from a weekend lunch, haha, so I ordered meat without hesitation. What we ordered first was antibiotic-free raw pork belly and antibiotic-free pork jowl!
Moms know this, right? Even when eating out, if it's food your child is going to eat too, you end up checking the origin and ingredients one more time. Gogigaondang uses antibiotic-free pork, which made me feel a bit better about sharing it with Yoona.

Not long after ordering, the meat came out, and the quality already looked great. Grilling meat like this on a huge cauldron-lid grill? There's basically no way it isn't delicious, haha. So if you're looking for pork belly in Dongtan or a cauldron-lid BBQ restaurant, this one's worth keeping an eye on.

What side dishes and wrap greens come with the pork?
A variety of basic side dishes came out along with the meat. The wrap greens weren't just lettuce and perilla leaves — myeongi namul (wild garlic leaves) came out too, along with a cool mukbap (acorn jelly noodle dish) and pajeori (spring onion salad). And for grilling together on the cauldron lid, there was a generous serving of kimchi, green onion, gosari (fernbrake) and bean sprouts on one side.
What I especially liked was that a good portion of the vegetables Gogigaondang uses are grown directly at Ondang Farm, and the side dishes are made in-house too. Maybe that's why the basic side dishes didn't feel like an afterthought — each one was actually delicious. My hand kept reaching for the side dishes while eating the meat, haha.

Why staff grilling the pork helps when you bring a baby
And here's the biggest reason I want to recommend Gogigaondang as a Bansong-dong BBQ restaurant that's good to visit with a baby: they grill the meat for you. Honestly, going to a BBQ restaurant with a baby is total chaos — taking care of Yoona, feeding her, flipping the meat, all at once. T.T Meat can burn fast if you look away for a second, so Yoona's dad usually ends up permanently on grill duty.
Here, a staff member grilled the meat piece by piece from start to finish, which was really convenient. And it wasn't just casual grilling — being a pro, they grilled it really well. It came out perfectly golden brown, and they even told us the best timing to eat it, so all we had to do was enjoy it, haha.
They didn't just grill the meat either — they also put kimchi, gosari and bean sprouts on the cauldron lid alongside it. Kimchi and gosari with a little pork fat soaked in... you all know how good that is, haha. A well-grilled piece of pork belly was delicious with kimchi, delicious with gosari, and even better with bean sprouts added — I kept trying different combinations. This is probably exactly why people come looking for cauldron-lid pork belly in Dongtan.

Pork cut into bite-size pieces for our baby
There was one part that day I was especially thankful for. While grilling, the owner noticed Yoona eating and cut a separate portion of meat into small pieces just for her. He was also really sweet to Yoona. :)
As we chatted, it turned out the owner is also a dad raising a son. Maybe because he's raised a kid himself, he had the instinct to cut the meat into bite-sized pieces without even being asked! Small kindnesses like that mean a lot to parents eating out with a baby. Thanks to him, Yoona ate really well.

Myeongi namul wraps, tofu kimchi, and an extra order of gabrisal
We ate the well-grilled meat plain, wrapped in lettuce, and wrapped in myeongi namul. Personally, the combination of myeongi namul and meat was really delicious.

We also ate the kimchi and tofu that were grilling on the cauldron lid together — you have to try the tofu kimchi. Putting well-cooked kimchi on tofu between bites of meat was a real treat.

And so, even though we'd already had pork belly and pork jowl, it was so good that we ended up adding gabrisal too, haha. The gabrisal had no gamey smell, was nice and savory, and had great texture — very satisfying. We definitely ate our way through every type of meat.
The self-serve side dish bar and free coffee after the meal
At Gogigaondang, if you run out of side dishes while eating, you can easily grab more from the self-serve bar. After finishing the meal, there was also a coffee fridge stocked with Let's Be at the entrance. You can take one per person, so Yoona's dad and I each grabbed one, haha. Eating meat until full and walking out with a cold coffee in hand — the perfect finish to the meal!

Is Gogigaondang Dongtan Branch worth a visit?
To sum up, Gogigaondang is delicious, friendly, has a pleasant space, and above all, grills the meat for you. We'd been going all over Dongtan for a while without finding a BBQ restaurant we really loved, but after visiting Gogigaondang, we've decided to make this our regular spot, haha.
The meat quality was great, and there was fun in grilling kimchi, gosari and bean sprouts together on the cauldron lid. Most of all, they were kind to us when we visited with a baby and grilled the meat for us themselves, which was genuinely a relief as parents.
So if you're looking for a Bansong-dong BBQ restaurant, cauldron-lid pork belly in Dongtan, or pork belly in Dongtan in general — especially a Dongtan BBQ restaurant where you can comfortably eat meat with a baby — Gogigaondang is worth a visit. Our family definitely plans to go back. After failing to settle on a regular BBQ restaurant for so long, it looks like we've finally found our place at Gogigaondang. :)
