Half-and-half katsu with udon near Samjeon Station, Seoul: Pine Katsu
In short
Pine Katsu Jamsil Main Branch is a pork cutlet (tonkatsu) restaurant near Samjeon Station Exit 2 in Songpa, Seoul, just in front of the Lake Palace apartments. On this second visit the half-and-half katsu at 16,000 won let one order pair tenderloin with cheese cutlet, served alongside udon, and the coating stayed thin and crisp while the pork inside was moist and tender. Pine Katsu's half-and-half katsu is worth ordering if picking only one cutlet feels like a loss.

I've been to so many pork cutlet places, but Pine Katsu is genuinely my all-time favorite katsu spot haha 😋 If you're looking for a katsu place near Samjeon Station, this is the first one I'd recommend 💛

This was my second visit, and eating it again confirmed how soft and clean-tasting the katsu is, with no gamey smell at all 🙌 Sometimes a place you loved the first time feels less impressive on a revisit, but Pine Katsu was just as satisfying the second time around ✨ For anyone near Samjeon Station who loves katsu, let me introduce Pine Katsu properly ❤️

Where is Pine Katsu Jamsil Main Branch? Near Samjeon Station Exit 2

Pine Katsu, a katsu spot in Jamsil, is close to Samjeon Station Exit 2 📍 Or just think of it as being in front of Lake Palace — that makes it easy to find 😊 It's not far from the station, so it's an easy walk, and it's a convenient stop for anyone in the Jamsil area looking for good katsu 💛

Hours, break time, and Sunday closures

Pine Katsu's hours are 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM ⏰ Break time runs from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM 😊 They're closed every Sunday, so make sure to check before you go 💛

Inside Pine Katsu

Don't judge this place as just a neighborhood diner haha 😆 From the outside it feels like a casual local katsu spot, but the taste could genuinely rival a fancy restaurant ✨ The meat is tender and the overall execution is great, so even on my second visit I thought, yep, still delicious 💛 Pine Katsu near Samjeon Station gives you way more satisfaction than a typical neighborhood spot 🙌

Free drink with event participation

If you join the event, you can also get a free drink, so don't forget to check it out 🥤 A cold soda alongside crispy katsu is such a great combo 😋 It cuts through the richness nicely so you can keep enjoying the katsu until the last bite 💛

Menu: half-and-half with loin and tenderloin together

Do you prefer loin or tenderloin? 😋 Personally I lean toward tenderloin 💛 But Pine Katsu has a menu where you can have both together, which is perfect if you can't pick just one 🙌 Besides katsu, there are also noodle and rice dishes, so you can mix and match to your taste 😊 If you're hunting for katsu near Samjeon Station, compare the menu and order the combo you want ✨

Half-and-half katsu ₩16,000 — tenderloin + cheese cutlet

I ordered tenderloin and cheese cutlet 😋 The tenderloin has an irresistibly soft texture, and cheese cutlet is best eaten hot, of course 💛

If you eat it before it cools down, the cheese doesn't harden and stretches beautifully — fun to look at and fun to eat 🧀

The batter is very thin, so it doesn't mask the flavor of the meat, and the crispy texture really comes through ✨ If you prefer thin and crispy over a thick coating, you'll love Pine Katsu even more 🙌

Udon

You can't have katsu without warm udon broth on the side 🍜 The udon noodles were nice and chewy, and the warm broth paired really well with the katsu 😊 A bite of crispy katsu followed by a sip of hot udon broth cut through the richness and made everything taste even better 💛 With tenderloin, cheese cutlet, and udon together, it was a really filling meal 🙌

Tenderloin katsu ₩16,000

Pine Katsu really seems to know how to age their meat well 😋 The katsu is so soft that it practically melts the moment you bite into it — it surprises me every single time 💛

The coating is thin and crispy while the meat inside is moist and tender, and that contrast in texture is just so good ✨ Honestly, after eating Pine Katsu's katsu, I can barely think of any other katsu place — that's how satisfying it is 🙌 If you're looking for katsu near Samjeon Station, try it and you'll understand why I call this my all-time favorite ❤️

Wrapping up the second visit
Pine Katsu near Samjeon Station was just as satisfying on my second visit 😋 Thin, crispy batter, tender tenderloin, cheese cutlet, and warm udon all together made for a great combo 💛 The aged meat's texture was especially soft, reminding me all over again why I call this my all-time favorite katsu ✨ If you're looking for a katsu place near Samjeon Station or in Jamsil, you have to try Pine Katsu ❤️
