Today I'm writing up my visit to 'Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch,' a spot near the Bangi-dong food alley with a cute, cozy vibe and really good-value side dishes!

Finding the Wareureu Mansion entrance in Bangi-dong
The bar is about a 5-minute walk from Jamsil Station Exit 10, tucked inside the Bangi-dong food alley. It's on the 2nd floor of the building so it might not catch your eye right away, but there's a big Tom N Toms Coffee on the ground floor, so I had zero trouble finding it.
What is the Shin-chan-themed interior like?
The moment I walked in, the interior was so cute and adorable that it immediately caught my eye! Honestly I'm not usually a big Shin-chan fan, but the place is packed with cute Shin-chan character props everywhere, and the interior was genuinely charming haha. Anyone who actually loves Shin-chan would go crazy for this! There's also a projector on the wall constantly playing the Shin-chan animation, which makes the whole place feel even cozier and warmer? Seems like a great date spot, and also perfect for catching up with friends over drinks!
You order conveniently through the tablet installed at each table, so it's easy to browse the menu photos and take your time choosing. The staff were friendly from the moment we walked in until we left, which made for a really pleasant experience — and there's even an option on the tablet to compliment friendly staff, which I thought was a fun, surprising touch haha.

Since this was a second-round stop for me, and the signature menu items are all pretty heavy, I went a bit lighter here!
As soon as we sat down, they quickly set out the basic side dish — a homemade salad made by mixing macaroni with plenty of egg and bacon, and it was genuinely a delicious appetite starter. Mild but with just the right salty edge from the bacon — a familiar, simple flavor that you keep reaching for. And it's only ₩500 for a refill, so of course I refilled it haha.
How the ₩100 draft beer deal before 7pm works

Maybe because it's been hot lately, I was craving a cold beer, so I ordered Hanmaek draft and a Gochang mulberry highball!! Hanmaek draft is already a crazy deal at ₩1,900 normally,
but the amazing part is — visit before 7pm and draft beer is just ₩100! (One glass per person, up to four per table.) I thought there really couldn't be a better value bar for stopping by after work or before sunset for a refreshing daytime drink!! Total Jamsil daytime-drinking gem haha.
Gochang mulberry highball: how does it taste?
The Gochang mulberry highball we also ordered had a subtle, sweet-tart mulberry flavor that nicely balanced out the alcohol scent — highly recommend it if you like sweeter drinks.
1++ Korean beef tartare with seared brisket wraps
The main dish I picked that day: 1++ Korean beef tartare with seared brisket wraps! The moment it hit the table, the generous, clean plating drew an instant 'wow.' Next to the tartare came the seared brisket, golden and crisp — a combo that was appetizing just to look at haha.
The egg yolk and sesame oil sauce mixed into the tartare got savorier with every bite, and wrapping it up with the seared brisket meant meat plus meat — how could that not be delicious.
Concheeese, the corn cheese bake
As a side, we added the corn cheese dish called concheeese~~~ True to the name with all those extra e's, the cheese is loaded on generously, stretching long and stringy every time you pick it up with chopsticks haha. The sweetness of the corn and the savory cheese paired perfectly with cold beer or a highball.
Besides what I ordered, there's a whole lineup of good-value side dishes overall, so it's easy to order a bunch of different things without worry — a great spot for a first round or a light second round!
