What kind of bar is Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch?

Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch bills itself as a Korean-style bar and restaurant where you can also have a real meal. They run a happy hour where draft beer is ₩100 if you come early — from daytime drinking through early evening — and apparently the lineup shifts by time of day, from highballs with light desserts to hearty meals to all kinds of drinking snacks at night.

The retro sign and distinctive interior stand out, and the menu is so varied — Korean food plus pasta, pizza, fried dishes — that there's something to pick no matter your taste.
How to walk there from Jamsil Station, and the room inside

It's a 5-minute walk from Jamsil Station Exit 10, so it's easy to get to, and it's tucked inside the food alley so you can find it quickly!

The place is fairly spacious, so the tables have plenty of room between them, and the retro-styled interior made for good photos too.

They played this cute Crayon Shin-chan clip on screen! ⋆◡̎⋆ My boyfriend didn't even know Shin-chan's family lived in a place called Wareureu Mansion — he thought it was just the movie title haha (ajussi)
Menu prices and what two of us ordered

Among the many bars in Bangi Food Alley, this one has such a wide range of good-value dishes that it's genuinely fun picking what to order! We spent forever deciding ~ ⁽̨̡ ¨̮ ⁾̧̢.•♥
What we ordered
- 1++ Korean beef yukhoe chadol wrap (₩29,900)
- Soy butter egg rice (₩3,500)
- 3 glasses of Hanmac draft beer
- 1 sikhye
- Self-serve ramen (₩3,500)
Table setting and the free macaroni salad

This macaroni salad was surprisingly delicious.. were we just that hungry?! There were potato chunks mixed in too, which made it a great starter ❤︎

The Hanmac draft beer was so refreshing! It kept pairing perfectly with the salty snacks, and we ended up ordering three glasses.. haha. ₩1,900 a glass!! Such good value ⋆◡̎⋆ The sikhye was sweet and cold, perfect for cleansing the palate between drinks. It even came in a cute jjimjilbang (sauna)-style container haha
Soy butter egg rice, 3,500 won

The soy butter egg rice was salty and savory — great both as a drinking snack and as a closer.

Mixed up nicely haha
1++ Korean beef yukhoe chadol wrap, 29,900 won

The 1++ Korean beef yukhoe (raw beef) chadol wrap came out beautifully arranged by color on the plate, a treat for the eyes before we even took a bite. This is the beef yukhoe chadol wrap that got popular thanks to Kang Min-kyung! I'd been so curious about it.. my heart was pounding ❤︎

The yukhoe was soft, and the chadol (thinly sliced brisket) had a slight grilled aroma — together the texture was just right.

Wrapped up like this, it's the best ❤︎

This sauce is so good too...

Eating it neatly with rice too ₍ᐢ..ᐢ₎♡̷ ☘︎
"Just one bite" self-serve ramen, 3,500 won

And then we suddenly ordered ramen to finish things off...

The set comes with ramen, water, cheese, and egg!

The self-serve ramen is small enough to be a light, easy add-on just like the name suggests, so even though we were already full, it was no burden.... the broth was just too tempting to skip... haha
How much did dinner for two cost?

For everything we ate together, the total came to ₩46,600, and given the portion sizes and variety of the dishes, I felt it was pretty good value. It works well both as a daytime drinking spot and as a second-round place, so next time I want to go before 7pm and try the ₩100 draft beer event.
