Jamsil bar for day drinking and chewy potato bites: Wareureu Mansion

I went to Wareureu Mansion, a daytime-drinking spot near Jamsil where draft beer is ₩100 if you arrive before 7pm. Great atmosphere, cheap food and drinks — highly recommend it as a Bangi-dong bar.

Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch is a bar in the Bangi-dong food alley near Jamsil Station Exit 10. It's on the 2nd floor of the Tom N Toms building.
If you drive, the building lot gives 1 hour free parking, then ₩3,000 per 60 minutes with a ₩5,000 max.
They're open from 2pm to 4am the next day Sunday through Thursday, and 2pm to 5am Friday and Saturday — a great daytime drinking spot near Jamsil haha.
Retro interior packed with Shin-chan knickknacks
The place was spacious and clean, with wide table spacing and sofa seating that made it comfortable to sit and drink. The interior has a retro vibe!
Shin-chan kept playing on a big screen and there were Shin-chan figurines all over the tables, which made me reasonably suspect the owner is a big fan.

I ordered the East Sea braised chocolate squid, and right after ordering I checked the tablet and it was already sold out. Guess I got the last plate of squid haha.
There was a good variety of tasty-looking mains and sides too. Especially lots of fruit-based dishes, which looked great for a second-round hangout too.

The basic side dish is macaroni salad.
₩100 draft beer before 7pm, gulped it right down. It was cold and delicious. It's a one-per-person event price, but even the regular price is cheap at ₩1,900 for 300cc, so I kept ordering without worry.
East Sea steamed whole choco squid, 32,900 won for four squid
East Sea braised chocolate squid ₩32,900. Sourced directly from the East Sea and steamed whole, this dish has properly chewy flesh and rich, melty innards.
Since it's domestic squid the pieces are on the smaller side, but you get four of them so it felt like great value. Just as the menu described, the squid's chewy texture and the rich innards were incredible ㅠㅠ I was so satisfied I felt like I'd ordered well haha.
It comes with three kinds of sauce, all delicious. But the minari (water dropwort) salad is the real kicker. It had a nice minari fragrance, wasn't tough, and the spicy-sour seasoning was great too. Eating it with the squid was the perfect combo!
Adding the Wareureu chewy potato for 8,900 won
Wareureu chewy potato fries ₩8,900. Since we ran out of side dishes while drinking, I ordered these too. Gangneung's long potatoes are famous and making them at home is trendy right now, so I'd thought about trying it myself — but since Wareureu Mansion had it right there, I ordered it on the spot haha.
They say it's made 100% from potato with no added flour. The batter is thin, so the outside was crispy and the inside was chewy and nutty — really tasty.
Great atmosphere and cheap food and drinks — Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch is a solid bar in Bangi-dong, and with ₩100 draft beer before 7pm, I recommend it as a daytime drinking spot near Jamsil.
