Beef barbecue in Buk, Daegu: half platters at Gogi 9dan
In short
Gogi 9dan Chimsan Direct Branch is a beef barbecue restaurant in Buk, Daegu. I shared half platters of flower rib meat and outside skirt with the 9dan Set; the pork kimchi stew especially suited my taste. The meat arrived a little late during a busy period, though the staff apologized.

I went to Gogi 9dan Chimsan Direct Branch (고기9단 침산직영점) in Buk-gu, Daegu for beef with an acquaintance. We ordered half platters each of flower rib meat and outside skirt, along with the 9dan Set, which includes yukhoe (Korean beef tartare) and stew.

Where is it, and is parking available?
The address is 197 Chimsannam-ro, Buk-gu, Daegu, South Korea, across from the CBS broadcasting station. The dedicated parking lot extended deep into the property and was spacious, and there was also guidance on where to park if it was full.
At the time the original post was written, hours were listed as daily from 11:00 AM to 9:50 PM. The break was listed as 3:00–5:00 PM, with last orders at 9:00 PM, and Sep 24–25, 2026 were noted as closed for the Chuseok holiday.

Is there seating for families or groups?
The entrance was neat, and I could see a chef trimming meat as soon as I entered. A cat-shaped serving robot moved around wearing Chuseok hanbok.
There were many tables that could be reserved, from seating for two to five people to group tables for six or more. There was also a playroom for children, where a child was playing The King of Fighters.
Can you order half platters, and how much are they?
The first order must be at least one full platter, but I could combine half platters of different meats. A half platter is half the weight and price of a full platter. The original post noted that prices had recently risen, so the amounts below are those recorded when it was written.

- Fresh short ribs, full platter 600g: ₩104,000
- Seokcheong galbi, full platter 700g: ₩94,000
- Outside skirt, full platter 500g: ₩108,000
- Flower rib meat, full platter 500g: ₩98,000
- Emperor rib meat, full platter 500g: ₩80,000
- Freshly marinated galbi, full platter 600g: ₩81,000
- Fresh pork belly, full platter 500g: ₩58,000
- Fresh pork neck, full platter 500g: ₩58,000
There were also lunch specials and side dishes. For lunch, the menu listed meat dishes in smaller portions available from two servings, as well as soup dishes.
What comes with the 9dan Set?
The 9dan Set was ₩18,000, and one set could be ordered per full barbecue platter. It included 80g of Korean beef yukhoe, pork kimchi stew, jjolmyeon (spicy chewy noodles), fresh wasabi, and sushi.
We ordered half platters of flower rib meat and outside skirt with the 9dan Set. The basic side dishes were served neatly.

The 9dan Set also arrived right away. I briefly put the pork kimchi stew in the storage space beneath the table so I could boil it after eating the meat.

How did I eat the flower rib meat and outside skirt?
The meat arrived a little late because there were many customers. A staff member apologized for the delay, and I found the service friendly.

I ate the flower rib meat on its own and also placed it on the sushi from the set. I paired it with yukhoe and jjolmyeon along the way, eating the meal in several combinations.
The outside skirt came slightly thick. Its cut surface was pink when I cut it, so I cooked it a little longer; since I like my meat rare, I did not cook it for long.

How were the stew and dessert?
I boiled the pork kimchi stew on the table induction cooktop. After one spoonful, I wanted rice with it, so I added a bowl of rice. Not only the meat but also the stew suited my taste.

For dessert, there were puffed-rice-style snacks, maesilcha (plum tea), and iced coffee. I liked that cups of ice were ready in the refrigerator, so drinks could be poured into them for takeout.
Although I waited a little for the meat, the two half platters and set menu made for a filling meal. With dedicated parking, a playroom, and group seating, it could also be considered for a family meal out.
