Magok Korean BBQ set for 69,000 won in Seoul: Tamra Factory
In short
Tamra Factory Magok Direct Store is a Jeju pork BBQ restaurant in Magok, Gangseo-gu, Seoul, a 3-minute walk from Exit 3 of Magok Station, where the staff grill every cut and bring it to the table by the panful. On a Friday after work, the writer shared the Tamra Han-pan set — Jeju pork neck, five-layer pork belly and skirt meat for 69,000 won — with a friend couple, and the melljeot (fermented anchovy dipping sauce) with green onion kimchi and myeongi namul (pickled wild garlic leaves) was the highlight. Tamra Factory is worth it for the hands-off grilling, but during Friday peak hours the meat takes a while, so order ahead.

After work on a Friday, I headed to a Korean BBQ place near my office in Magok to catch up with friends I hadn't seen in a while! These two ended up becoming a couple after I introduced them ages ago, so we had SO much to talk about ㅠㅠ Since the staff grill everything for you here, I could just focus completely on the conversation and eat in total comfort haha. Here's my honest review of Tamra Factory, a Magok Korean BBQ spot :)

How to walk there from Magok Station

Come out of Magok Station Exit 3 and walk along the tree-lined path for about 3 minutes, and it's on the first floor of the building right across from Starbucks! If you're driving, you get 2.5 hours of free parking in the basement lot so you can relax about that too haha. It's right by the main road so it's easy to find — perfect for an after-work meetup.
Inside Tamra Factory: room and seating

Tamra Factory Magok Direct Store isn't huge, but the layout stretches back deep, so there are actually way more seats than you'd expect! The staff moved super quickly and were really friendly. There's also a TV inside, so it's a great spot to watch a baseball or soccer game over drinks haha.
What side dishes come with the meal?

As soon as we sat down, the side dishes got set up, and there was a decent variety!

Garlic, salt, ssamjang (dipping sauce), kimchi, acorn jelly, green onion kimchi, seasoned bean sprouts, pickled radish, myeongi namul (wild garlic leaves), pickled perilla leaves, and lettuce wraps — so generous haha.

And one thing that really impressed me — the tissue box was mounted on the wall instead of taking up table space! It kept the table nice and open, which felt like a real solo-living kind of touch haha.
Where the pork comes from, and the melljeot dipping sauce

The country-of-origin signage was clearly posted on the wall too, which was reassuring!

When the meat came out, they also placed melljeot (fermented anchovy sauce) on the grill, and it was just the right amount salty — the combo with the meat was insane ㅠㅠ
What's in the 69,000 won Tamra Han-pan set, and how staff grill it

We ordered their signature Tamra Han-pan set (₩69,000), made up of Jeju pork neck, pork belly, and skirt meat! It's not just pre-seared — it comes out fully grilled. Honestly, when you're chatting with friends, someone always ends up stuck grilling and the conversation flow breaks, but here they just bring you a whole tray already cooked so you can dig right in — it was amazing ㅠㅠ
How did the Tamra Han-pan taste?

The Jeju pork neck and pork belly were packed with juice, super soft and chewy! It was great dipped lightly in salt, and also amazing dunked fully in melljeot haha. My personal favorite combo, though, was wrapping the meat in green onion kimchi and myeongi namul with a little wasabi on top!
The downside: waiting during Friday peak hours
I visited during Friday peak hours and the place was completely packed. Maybe because there weren't enough staff grilling, but the meat took quite a while to come out ㅠㅠ Waiting for our first order to arrive nearly broke the flow of the evening, which was a bit of a letdown!
Ordering tip for Tamra Factory

If someone in your group arrives early, I strongly recommend ordering food right away haha. And to keep the meat flowing without a break, put in your next order as soon as the first tray arrives! The grill keeps everything warm anyway, so ordering ahead makes things much smoother.
Is Tamra Factory Magok worth a visit?
That's my honest review of Tamra Factory, the Korean BBQ spot in Magok where I met up with a couple of friends! If you're craving juicy Jeju pork that someone else grills for you, definitely give it a try :)
