Four-meat fajita at Taqueros, a Magok Mexican restaurant

In short

Taqueros Magok Main Branch is a Mexican restaurant on the 2nd floor of Magok GMG Tower on Magok-jungang 6-ro in Gangseo, Seoul. The signature couple set lets you pick the fajita over pork ribs, and it arrives with one fried chicken taco, one fish taco and four meats — chicken, shrimp, pulled pork and ground meat — to wrap in tortillas that Taqueros hands out generously to the last bite. With its red-toned interior and sofa seating, Taqueros Magok Main Branch works well for a Magok date dinner.

Inside Taqueros on the 2nd floor of Magok GMG Tower

Exotic-looking exterior of Taqueros Magok Main Branch

The moment I arrived, I could tell the vibe here was on point haha. The exterior alone had a strong exotic feel.

Red-toned interior of Taqueros Magok Main Branch

Once inside, the red-toned interior really caught my eye. It was just so stylish and pretty!!

Dining hall with sofa seating at Taqueros Magok Main Branch

The whole place was filled with an exotic atmosphere, almost like I'd briefly stepped into another country. There were sofa seats too, so it looked comfortable to dine in, and the vibe was good enough that it'd suit anyone looking for a nice Magok date restaurant.

Cute taco doll prop displayed in the restaurant

While looking around, I spotted a cute taco doll haha. Little props like this made browsing the place even more fun.

Open kitchen where food is being prepared

One side of the restaurant was set up like an open kitchen, so I could watch the food being prepared. Seeing the cooking process, even from a distance, made me even more excited haha.

Table set with sauces and tissues as standard

Each table came with sauces and tissues already set up.

QR code ordering sign on the table

Ordering was done through the QR code at each seat, so it was really convenient!!

The signature couple set: fajita or pork ribs?

We ordered the Taqueros Signature Couple Set that day! The couple set lets you choose between fajita and pork ribs — and since I went there specifically to eat Mexican food haha, I decided on the fajita without hesitation!

Complimentary nachos and cheese sauce at Taqueros

House nachos with cheese sauce served first

While waiting for the food, the house nachos came out first. They were crispy and tasty on their own, but the cheese sauce was especially good. We cleared the nachos before the main dishes even arrived!!

Fajita and tacos plated together on the table
Generously served main dishes from the couple set

The main dishes showed up! The fajita and tacos were served together, and the spread looked seriously generous.

Chicken taco and fish taco included in the couple set

Fried chicken taco and fish taco

The Taqueros couple set comes with one chicken taco and one fish taco. I tried the tacos first — I had the chicken taco.

Cross-section of the chicken taco with vegetables and sauce

Taqueros' chicken taco is a bit different from other tacos — the chicken comes fried!! It felt a little unfamiliar at first, but the combination was really great. The texture of the fried chicken worked well with the vegetables and sauce, creating a nice synergy. It felt different from tacos I usually eat, and I liked that!

Fish taco made with fried fish

The fish taco also comes with fried fish. I didn't try it myself that day, but the person who did said it was also new and delicious! Next time I visit, I want to try the fish taco myself haha.

Four meats, four sauces: how to build the fajita

Fajita served with meats and accompanying sauces

Then it was time to really dig into the fajita. It came out incredibly generous, with a variety of meats and accompanying sauces all at once.

Four kinds of meat: chicken, shrimp, pulled pork, ground meat
Cheese sauce, salsa, sour cream and guacamole for the fajita

There were four kinds of meat — chicken, shrimp, pulled pork, and ground meat! You just pile whichever meat you like onto a tortilla and wrap it up. The sauces were varied too: cheese sauce, salsa, sour cream, guacamole, and more, so you could mix and match freely!

Tortilla wrapped with all the meats and sauces

For the first wrap, I got greedy and just put in all the meats! All the sauces! Loaded everything in at once and ate it together haha. Honestly I thought it might all clash, but it worked so much better than expected! Meats and sauces with totally different flavors, yet it all came together in harmony. It was so good........

Fajita tortilla wrapped with a different combination

After that, I kept switching up the combinations — different meats, different sauces... Eating it this way, even though it was the same fajita, it felt a little different each time. The fun of picking your own ingredients to wrap!

Plenty of tortillas: how filling is the couple set?

Plenty of tortillas provided with leftover fajita

Something I kept noticing while eating was just how much food there was. No matter how much we ate, it never seemed to run out haha. A lot of other taco places don't give you enough tortillas, but Taqueros really... gave us plenty, so we never ran short. Thanks to that, we ate generously all the way to the end!

Is Taqueros Magok Main Branch worth it for a Magok date dinner?

I finally got to properly enjoy the Mexican food I'd been craving, and it was so satisfying. The restaurant's atmosphere was great, and every dish was delicious. The portions were even more generous than expected, so we ate until we were completely full haha. If you're looking for something different to eat in Magok, or searching for a nice-vibe Magok date restaurant, Taqueros Magok Main Branch would be a solid choice. Next time I'd love to try the other menu items too!!
