Mushroom burger and chili mozza cheese bar date: Bas Burger Samseong

I visited Bas Burger Samseong Station Branch, well known as a hamburger spot near Samseong Station.

I went on a Sunday for a light brunch-style meal. This place always comes up whenever people mention burgers near Samseong Station, so I was curious.

What are the exterior and interior like?

The store sits on the main road of an alley near Samseong Station, and since it's a floor-to-ceiling glass storefront on the first floor, it's easy to spot from a distance.

There's also plenty of terrace seating, so on nice days I'd recommend sitting outside too.

The retro red-toned sign out front really caught my eye. The location was also easy to get to for a Samseong Station lunch.

The store is really spacious, with lots of tables set well apart. It seemed like you could sit comfortably even during busy hours.

You order either at the kiosk or with help from staff inside, so there's no confusion.

We ordered the Bas Burger set (₩12,100), mushroom burger (₩11,700), mozza cheese bar (₩3,300), and chili mozza cheese bar (₩3,700). Considering prices around Samseong Station, this was a relatively affordable way for two people to try a variety of things.

As Bas Burger regulars probably know, there are self-serve potato chips — just scoop out as much as you'd like and enjoy.

Bas Burger

The Bas Burger was so packed that one bite filled my mouth completely. The onion, tomato and thick patty all worked well with the bun, and it got more satisfying the more I chewed.

Mushroom burger

The mushroom burger had two big fried button mushrooms inside, moist on the inside and crispy on the outside, giving a totally different kind of enjoyment from the patty.

The vegetables stayed crisp too, so I could eat the whole thing without getting tired of it.

Mozza cheese bar & chili mozza cheese bar

Both the mozza cheese bar and the chili mozza cheese bar were packed with cheese, and the outer coating was crispy too. When you pull it apart with a fork and see the cheese stretch, you immediately know how good the texture is.

The chili version in particular cut through what could've been a heavy, greasy flavor with some spice, so I kept reaching for more.
