Kids' bone soup rice at a Siheung outlet food court: Pyeongi Dambaek
In short
Pyeongi Dambaek Bone Kalguksu is a pork neck bone noodle soup restaurant inside the Taste Village food court at Shinsegae Premium Outlets Siheung, next to Miz Container. We ordered the bone kalguksu with pork jowl suyuk (boiled pork) set, the spicy bone soup rice with dumpling set and a kids' bone soup rice, all built on a rich, clean pork neck bone broth with thick chunks of meat. With a separate children's menu and free dishes by spend level, Pyeongi Dambaek works well as a family meal during a day of outlet shopping.

Siheung's Shinsegae Premium Outlets is great for handling shopping, good food, and kid-friendly fun all in one spot! Whenever I get hungry while shopping, I grab a meal at the Taste Village food court, and today I want to recommend a restaurant I eat at often ☺️

Where is Pyeongi Dambaek in Siheung Premium Outlets?
There are plenty of restaurants here, but the one I'm introducing today is "Pyeongi Dambaek," a bone kalguksu (bone-broth knife-cut noodle) place!! It's located right next to Miz Container and isn't hard to find at all~
Pyeongi Dambaek

How is bone kalguksu different from bone haejangguk?
Have you heard of bone kalguksu before? At first I thought it would just be bone haejangguk (hangover soup) with kalguksu noodles thrown in~ But once I actually tried it, it had a clean, savory quality that's different from bone haejangguk!

Pyeongi Dambaek uses pork neck bones instead of pork back bones, which apparently makes the broth richer and nuttier! This is the bone kalguksu that comedians Moon Se-yoon and Kim Jun-hyun reportedly fell in love with~ Piling a piece of meat onto your noodles must taste amazing haha

Pyeongi Dambaek menu and the kids' options
Turns out the menu isn't just plain bone kalguksu! There's noodles & rice, clear soup & mixed style, and of course if there's a mild version there's also a spicy version haha. Side dishes to pair with it include tangy-sweet pollack mix, tender suyuk, and dumplings 🙂 And especially!! Since this is an outlet mall, a lot of people come with kids, and there's a kids' bone kalguksu! The menu is varied and thoughtfully put together, so I'm already satisfied 👍

Free dishes by how much you spend
One more thing!! There's a thank-you event too
- Free dumplings with purchases over ₩30,000
- Free pollack mix with purchases over ₩40,000
- Free suyuk with purchases over ₩50,000

So~~ what we ordered was: the bone kalguksu suyuk set / spicy bone soup rice dumpling set / kids' bone soup rice 😝
Bone kalguksu with pork jowl suyuk set
Bone kalguksu with tender pork jowl suyuk set

You have to try the signature bone kalguksu~ it comes with big chunks of bone meat, so just looking at it feels satisfying 🤩
There was plenty of meat clinging to the bone and it was tender, so it was easy to pick apart haha! You could really taste the rich flavor of the bone broth, and it wasn't overpowering — clean and mild enough that it was good for kids too. There were three whole chunks of meat, and the amount of noodles was huge too 😲

The kimchi that came with the bone kalguksu also stuck with me. It had that appetizing color, with a rustic yet clean feel like it was made in-house~ The crunchy texture and not-too-heavy seasoning meant it was good eaten plain, and paired with the noodles it cut through the richness so well I kept going back for more

Look at that sheen haha ~~ a nice ratio of lean meat to fat

Top the suyuk with sauce and chili and it disappears in no time~ but the chili was way too spicy... haha just one slice is enough After the bone kalguksu and the suyuk, I was completely stuffed ㅕㅕㅕ The set menu might be too much for one adult woman to finish alone

If you like spicy flavors, I recommend the spicy bone soup rice too. It comes with rice instead of noodles in a spicy, hot broth, so it's super filling!

Whoa, this has even thicker meat than mine?! 😋 There's plenty of bone meat, so picking it off and eating it with rice really hits the Korean sweet spot haha. The broth of the spicy bone soup rice tastes different from bone haejangguk~ it's closer to yukgaejang (spicy beef soup) flavor, I think 😍
Oh, and it also comes with a dipping sauce for the meat. You gently pick the meat off the bone, then dip it in the sauce. Adding a spicy-tangy sauce to the tender meat gives it a whole different flavor from eating it plain haha. The taste is a bit like Chinese red sauce haha

The dumplings were packed full, so one bite and you could feel the juicy filling haha. They weren't small either — even just two of them filled us up. (But since dumplings are free over ₩30,000, we forgot and ordered the dumpling set anyway...) Make sure you take advantage of the event, everyone~~ 🫶
Is Pyeongi Dambaek worth it with kids?
Rich, savory broth and thick chunks of meat!! A bowl where you can enjoy both rice and noodles left us thoroughly full. I recommend Pyeongi Dambaek, a great restaurant at Siheung Premium Outlets 😘
