Hi, this is Honey!

I had plans in Gangnam over the weekend and was scrolling around for somewhere to eat when I found Eulji Darak Gangnam Station — good vibes, and the menu looked varied too.

Gangnam Station has no shortage of good restaurants, but picking the actual spot is always oddly stressful. Especially for a date or a blind date, where the mood matters and you're not sure what the other person likes, even choosing what to order gets a little nerve-wracking.

Eulji Darak caught my eye because you can get everything from omelet rice to pasta, gnocchi, and steak in one place. The space itself is clean and has a lot of character, so it seemed like a great option not just for a Gangnam Station date but also for gatherings with friends or a Gangnam Station blind date.

Best of all, they have a wide range of pasta, which is my favorite — so I had high hopes. Today I'll walk through the location and menu of Eulji Darak Gangnam, my pick for pasta near Gangnam Station.

Where is Eulji Darak Gangnam Station, and is there parking?

Eulji Darak Gangnam sits near Exit 11 of Gangnam Station. Recent visit info puts it at about 269m, roughly a 5-minute walk, so it's easy to reach by public transit.

It's on the 2nd floor of the building, and the entrance is a bit different from a typical restaurant, so first-timers might be a little confused. The doorway is styled to look like an elevator — a fun little signature touch of Eulji Darak.

  • 🚇 By subway: Gangnam Station Exit 11 → about a 5-minute walk
  • 🚗 Parking: unfortunately, there's no on-site parking or parking support. If you're driving, you'll need to use a nearby paid lot.
  • There's the Yeoksam Culture Park No. 1 Public Parking Lot (Teheran-ro 7-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul) nearby, worth keeping in mind if you're driving.

Personally, since it's within walking distance of Gangnam Station, I think taking the subway is the easiest way to go without worrying about parking.

The second-floor entrance that looks like an elevator door

Eulji Darak Gangnam sits tucked inside an alley near Gangnam Station! It's on the 2nd floor, so you just check the building exterior and head up.

When you reach the 2nd floor, the first thing you see is what looks like an elevator door! At first I assumed it was an actual elevator, but it turned out to be the entrance to Eulji Darak haha. Opening what feels like an elevator door to walk in already gave off Eulji Darak's distinctive vibe — it was fun.

Inside Eulji Darak Gangnam Station: mood and seating

Once inside, you're greeted by a bright, clean white-toned space. It's decorated with wood-tone chairs and marble tables, giving it an overall warm yet tidy atmosphere.

Natural light streams in nicely through the windows, so visiting during the day made the space look even brighter. The seating is mostly tables suited for 2–4 people, so it looked good for a Gangnam Station date, a blind date, or a casual meal with friends.

Above all, it wasn't too dark or too loud, so it was easy to eat while chatting comfortably!

Signature menu at Eulji Darak Gangnam Station

Eulji Darak is a Western restaurant centered on omelet rice and pasta, but you can also get risotto, gnocchi, steak, and katsu sando.

Their signature dish, Darak Omelet Rice, is fried rice topped with a soft omelet and finished with a house-made omelet rice sauce — one of the first things that comes to mind when you think of Eulji Darak.

There was also a wide variety of pasta. From Darak Rose Pasta, made with house-made meat sauce, fresh cream, and Grana Padano cheese, to spicy cream pasta and brisket perilla oil pasta — plenty of options for anyone hunting for pasta near Gangnam Station.

There's also Crab Spicy Risotto with vegetables and crab stir-fried in chili oil and cream sauce, Corn Gnocchi made with corn purée and cream, and Katsu Sando with a thick pork cutlet — lots of choices, great for ordering a few and sharing.

What two people ordered to share

  • Darak Omelet Rice ₩17,000
  • Crab Spicy Risotto ₩19,000
  • Katsu Sando ₩12,000
  • Pepsi Zero ₩3,500

Darak Omelet Rice, the restaurant's signature dish, was a must-order, and I also wanted something a bit spicy, so we added the Crab Spicy Risotto. On top of that, we threw in the Katsu Sando as a good side.

We visited as a pair, but with two mains plus one side, we ended up with a nice spread to taste a bit of everything. It was especially good sharing dishes with very different flavor profiles, like the omelet rice and the risotto.

A plate of Crab Spicy Risotto topped with an egg yolk

Rich and thick-looking from the start — the Crab Spicy Risotto! Creamy sauce mixed with crab meat, topped with an egg yolk in the center, made it look appetizing right away.

Taking a bite, the soft, savory cream sauce had a spicy kick added in, so it was less rich/greasy than I expected. You could taste the crab meat here and there too, giving it a nice savory depth.

Popping the yolk and mixing it in made it even smoother and thicker — a completely different experience!

It's cream-based, but the spiciness kept it in check just enough that I kept going back for more, and pairing it with the omelet rice made for a nice back-and-forth between two different flavors. Honestly, of everything we ordered that day, the Crab Spicy Risotto was my personal favorite ♡

Can't skip Eulji Darak's signature dish, Darak Omelet Rice! It first arrives with a plump omelet sitting whole on top of the fried rice. A staff member then cuts open the center of the omelet, and the soft egg spreads out in a lovely reveal.

Watching this little performance was fun too, and it made for a perfect video moment haha. The egg is as soft and moist as it looks in photos! Scooping up fried rice, the soft egg, and the rich sauce together in one bite made for a great combo.

Darak Omelet Rice generously drizzled with sauce

There was plenty of sauce drizzled over it, so it was easy to mix it right into the rice, and since it wasn't sharply spicy, alternating bites with the Crab Spicy Risotto worked really well together :)

Almost too pretty to eat......

Last up, and it looked great from the start — the Katsu Sando! A thick pork cutlet packed between slices of bread, catching your eye right from the cut cross-section. The meat was thicker than expected, so it felt like a pretty substantial dish rather than just a side.

Soft bread, crispy fried katsu, and a sweet-salty sauce came together for a familiar yet addictive flavor. Adding the pickles and tartar sauce that came alongside it brought in tangy, savory notes for a different way to enjoy it.

It was nice to pick at between bites of the omelet rice and risotto, and if you're ordering several dishes together, it works well as a side! Definitely recommend it as a side dish!!
