I was looking for somewhere to eat near Seobu Bus Terminal and ended up at Cafe Dongi Daemyeong Station Branch. Cafe Dongi is a chain, but this location was so clean it surprised me — it honestly looked more like a café than a restaurant.

Had a good meal at this Korean restaurant near Apsan in Daegu — right in front of Daemyeong Station, close to Apsan too, and great value for the amount of service you get. You probably already know how good it is — fried egg, barley crackers, and all sorts of little desserts included. I really liked it.

Cafe Dongi is a pretty famous Korean restaurant near Apsan — the yeolmu bibimbap set (young radish greens rice bowl set) is ₩7,900. A comfortable homestyle set you could eat every day.

The outside of Cafe Dongi Daemyeong Station Branch already looked huge, and stepping inside it really is café-like — such a pleasant space. It's right behind Daemyeong Station, so the neighborhood is quiet too.

Cafe Dongi has a location in nearly every neighborhood, all serving Korean set meals this way, and since it comes as an individual hansang (single set), it feels more hygienic too.

Great for a quick meal near Seobu Bus Terminal in Daegu, and the tangsuyuk made with 72-hour rice nuruk fermentation is unusual — I'd totally recommend the taste-size portion.

There's extra rice and seaweed too, so you can just help yourself.

You fry your own egg at the self-bar — one egg per person, cooked yourself. Such a nice little appetizer-style service.

The restaurant is spacious and comfortable to eat at alone, so if you're looking for a solo meal near Seobu Bus Terminal, you'll be satisfied.

It's here! Came out faster than expected, and since I was hungry, it tasted even better. This Korean restaurant near Apsan in Daegu is so clean.

I also ordered the jjukkumi bokkeum (stir-fried baby octopus) — it comes with tartar sauce and even a dessert drink, so it really does feel like everything gets covered in one set.

Good for a meal near Seobu Bus Terminal — a lot of people bring their kids for lunch or dinner too, and the restaurant has plenty of high chairs on hand.

The dishes that come with the set are so tidy — if you're someone who feels awkward about everyone's chopsticks going into shared dishes, I'd recommend a place like this.

Mukeunji kimchi stew with extra rice from the self-bar

The kimchi stew is so good. Made with mukeunji (well-fermented aged kimchi), it's a real rice thief. I hadn't even finished half of it and I'd already cleaned a whole bowl of rice.

This is a Korean set meal that anyone, of any age or gender, can enjoy, and the side dishes are proper Korean banchan, which felt right.

When you run out of rice, you can grab more from the self-bar — that was such a nice touch. Women are usually fine, but a lot of men find one bowl of rice isn't enough.

With such good side dishes in front of me, one bowl of rice just isn't enough. Cafe Dongi Daemyeong Station Branch is a perfect Korean restaurant near Apsan — so clean, and the biggest Cafe Dongi location I've been to so far.

Doenjang stew topped with jjukkumi baby octopus

The doenjang stew (soybean paste stew) is delicious too. Personally, Cafe Dongi's kimchi stew and doenjang stew are both great value for the price — I recommend both.

I mixed the doenjang stew with rice and topped it with jjukkumi. Ordering one Korean stew and one stir-fried dish like this works well too.

Taste-size tangsuyuk in the 9,000-won range

The taste-size tangsuyuk arrived too. A Korean restaurant near Seobu Bus Terminal in Daegu where you don't need to go to a Chinese restaurant for tangsuyuk. Priced in the ₩9,000s, which is decent.

The meat pieces are on the bigger side, so you cut them and dip them in the sauce. The portion felt generous too.

Really solid for a side dish — if you're bringing kids along, ordering tangsuyuk as a side would be a great call. Plenty tasty.

Dessert corner: barley crackers, heotgae tea and peanut caramel

Here's the dessert corner. There are barley crackers, crispy and nice to have one after your meal. The heotgae tea (raisin tree tea) is good too.

We each had just one, and near the register there was peanut caramel. Wow — such a nostalgic candy, I grabbed a piece each out of pure delight. Had a great meal at this Korean restaurant near Apsan in Daegu.
