Hi, this is PD Eoyeoga. Today I want to share a delicious sushi restaurant near Yeongdae Hospital station! I feel like I could eat sushi every single day.
How to get to Sushi Naru from Yeongdae Hospital Station
Sushi Naru Yeongdae Hospital Main Branch is about a 5-minute walk from Yeongdae Hospital station — right around the corner. It's also about 7 minutes on foot from Gyodae station. It's a good spot if you're looking for a place to eat near Yeungnam University College of Medicine.

You come across this pretty little storefront while walking down the street. The space isn't huge, but that actually makes it feel cozy for a meal.
Inside Sushi Naru: interior and seating

Inside, it's decorated neatly with a Japanese sushi restaurant vibe. The hall has about three 4-person tables, plus bar seats and window seats.

It's not a large restaurant, but the space is used quite well, so it seemed like a good option for eating alone or having a quiet sushi meal for two. I actually saw a solo diner there.
Sushi Naru menu and prices: what we ordered

We ordered two things: the special sushi platter (₩25,000) and the assorted sushi platter (₩13,000).

With the udon included, is one platter a full meal?
While we waited for the sushi to come out, a bowl of udon (thick wheat noodle soup) arrived as part of the standard order.

Sushi alone might feel a little light, but with the udon included, the portion turned out to be more than enough for a full meal.

After a bowl of warm udon and the sushi on top, there was no sense of it being lacking as a lunch or dinner. And since everything is made right after you order, I really liked that the sushi comes out freshly made.
Made to order: eating Sushi Naru's sushi while the rice is warm
Eating the sushi right as it came out, the rice was still very slightly warm, and that turned out to be better than I expected. The sashimi and rice melted together softly in my mouth — it really felt like it dissolved. Don't save the best-looking piece for last, eat it first. The taste of freshly made sushi while the rice is still warm was pretty great. The special sushi platter especially lived up to its name — the pieces in it were really good.

I usually save the tastiest piece for last when eating sushi, but this time I ate the best-looking pieces first, and it made the appeal of warm, freshly made sushi even more noticeable. The assorted sushi platter let us try a good variety of types, so it would suit anyone who wants to comfortably enjoy several kinds of sushi at once.
Is Sushi Naru worth a visit? Final verdict
Sushi Naru Yeongdae Hospital Branch, a sushi restaurant near Apsan in Daegu, felt like a place where you can comfortably enjoy freshly made sushi in a cozy Japanese-style atmosphere. The special sushi platter tasted good, and having the assorted sushi platter alongside it let us try a nice variety. Best of all, the standard udon meant we ended up full rather than just finishing with sushi alone.

If you're near Yeongdae Hospital in Daegu craving a sushi meal and looking for a clean, Japanese-style sushi restaurant, this seemed like a place worth stopping by.
