A new jokbal (Korean-style boiled pig's trotters) spot on Songni-dan-gil, Narae Jokbal. The place is clean and has a great vibe, so I had a really nice meal here as a date-course stop in Jamsil haha.

Where is Narae Jokbal Songpa Direct Branch on Songni-dan-gil?
This Songni-dan-gil jokbal spot is a 5-minute walk from Exit 1 of Songpa Naru Station. Being near Seokchon Lake in Songni-dan-gil, the interior is surprisingly clean and stylish for a jokbal restaurant — worth a visit as a Jamsil date spot too.

Narae Jokbal menu, takeout discount and lunch perks
Narae Jokbal is a Songni-dan-gil lunch spot serving jokbal and bossam (boiled pork wraps) as the mains. Order takeout and you get ₩5,000 off plus a 500ml cola, while dine-in comes with fresh-fruit makguksu, sundubu-jjigae, and patbingsu for dessert — great value! There are also lunch set menus for jokbal and bossam that are a good deal, so it seems popular with office workers around Songpa Naru for lunch.

A café-like dining room that fits group dinners
Narae Jokbal, a Songni-dan-gil date spot, impressed with a spacious, comfortable interior that felt just like a café.

The distinctive glass windows made me feel like I'd stepped into a café — this Songpa Naru Station spot had that vibe. Given the atmosphere and size, it'd also work well for group gatherings.

Join the Naver receipt review event and you get a flying fish roe rice ball or a drink on the house — another nice touch at this Songni-dan-gil jokbal spot. There's a good range of value menus, especially the lunch specials, which made me want to come back for one. We ordered the medium jokbal, and it was more than enough for two people to eat until stuffed. Having tried the plain jokbal this time, I want to try the spicy version (bulljok) next haha.

There's also a good range of drinks and alcohol, so this Songpa spot seems like it'd be a popular choice for gatherings in the area.

Side dish self-bar: unlimited lettuce for wraps
There's a self-bar for side dishes, so you can go back for more if needed — which meant I could pile on plenty of lettuce wraps with the jokbal haha.

What the medium jokbal spread looks like
The medium jokbal I ordered at this Jamsil Songni-dan-gil spot, Narae Jokbal, has arrived!!

Glossy, shiny jokbal that looks really good haha. The makguksu (buckwheat noodles) topped generously with a fresh-fruit sauce went great with the jokbal too!

The spicy sundubu-jjigae paired well with the variety of side dishes — great combo. Thanks to that I got a solid protein fix from the jokbal.
Chewy, non-gamey, and springy — the signature jokbal of Narae Jokbal!
It had been a while since I'd had jokbal, and even the skin was soft, springy, and chewy — exactly the way I like it.
The meat part of the jokbal was also quite moist and tender — great stuff!

You don't know how good it is until you wrap it up with lettuce and all the side dishes. That day was definitely a protein-packed day haha.
Free fresh-fruit makguksu and sundubu-jjigae with dine-in
The makguksu mixed with a sweet and tangy fruit sauce was a perfect match with the jokbal!

The makguksu itself had a strong sweet-and-tangy flavor, which paired really well with the mild plain jokbal. Even better wrapped in lettuce too!

The soft, silky sundubu-jjigae with its spicy broth was a nice match when the jokbal started to feel a bit rich.

Flying fish roe rice ball from the receipt review event
The flying fish roe mayo bibim-rice I got from joining the Naver receipt review event.
Put on the disposable gloves and shaped the rice ball nicely haha.
The combo of seaweed flakes and pickled radish was great! Eating a bite of the rice ball between pieces of jokbal was a nice touch too.
With patbingsu for dessert, the whole spread at this Songpa lunch spot, Narae Jokbal, was really satisfying. Next time I'll have to try the spicy bulljok!!!!
